The Queen & Her Theif

Cora was always the girl who wanted it all. Nothing was ever enough for her. She was never happy with anything. She wanted to be rich. She wanted to be a queen and be royalty. When that never happened for her she was determined to have it for her daughter. Regina hated it with all her of soul. She didn't want to live a life full of riches and big palaces if it meant that she wouldn't have love. Love was the most important thing to Regina. It still is in some ways, but after the Daniel incident she stopped believing in it. Regina looked at Cora with disappointment in her eyes.

"Mother, why do you always insist on ruining these kinds of moments?"

"Because Regina love is-" Cora began but was cut off by her daughter.

"Weakness yes I know, but if love is weakness why are you trying to force me upon my supposed true love?" Regina replied with a semi-snarky attitude.

"So you stop hating me. Regina, everything I ever did was for you. For you to be happy. For you to be rich and successful and strong. A mother always wants the best for her child and I wanted the best for you. I still do. I have realized though, that you will never truly be happy without love. So, that is what I am trying to help you with" Regina smiled softly at her mother. She wasn't sure if her mother was being sincere or not, but she still appreciated the kind words. Cora smiled back and they all stood there in silence. Suddenly they heard a knock at the big double doors. Regina was nervous and Cora excited. The guards opened the doors and a handsome man walked through. He was wearing a nice white outfit. It looked as if he were going to get married. Cora rushed over to him and bowed. The handsome man did the same. She introduced herself.

"Hello, I'm Cora. I am the queens mother." he said with a smile.

"I am Nottingham. And may I just say, I hope your daughter is as beautiful." He kissed her hand and walked with her. Regina smiled at the kind man and her mother as they made their way across the room and over to her. He stared at her as she continued to smile. After a while she got a little worried.

"Is there something wrong?" she ask confused.

"My eyes have yet to be layed upon such a beautiful face until now." Regina blushed. He too her hand and pulled her close lying a kiss on her cheek. Cora smiled deeply at the two. She couldn't believe her plan was acrually working. She actually pulled it off, not that she thought she wouldn't.
