The book contains various short stories and one shots written by me. Majorly dominated by Thalapathy Vijay. Because initially this book was only for him.
Chapter 4 voyage journal has all the fics and their canon source.
He lands in her good graces this time and he likes it. So, he stays. Slowly, he starts to like the old age home too. The elders in there treat him well, they give him respect. Something that he has never known in his life. They're kind to him and he likes it.
The villagers on the other hand shower love on him. They treat him like family, like he's someone good and precious. Not just an unsympathetic thief. He feels a sense of family and he treasures it. He feels guilty sometimes about Jeevanandham. But Jeeva has had this all his life, Kathir can have it for a while. He'll give it back to him, because he can't stay and more importantly, he's not a monster.
He thought his doppleganger was a goody two shoes, perfect. But he seems to have trouble in to him. In the week he's playing Jeeva, he gets attacked twice and kidnapped at gun point once. Jeeva seems to attract trouble and money.
Kathir, however, attracted to money. That too something as huge as 20 crores. He can't leave something like that, he and Ravi can live a happy comfortable life with that. Maybe one without stealing.
So he immediately agrees to all of the business man's demands. He finds it strange, he just had to ask and kathir would have agreed. There was no need for threating the villagers and home residents at old age home. What he finds stranger is the spike of concern and anger that rises in him at the sight of knives at their necks. He doesn't ponder on it. He's gonna leave them soon anyway. He calls Ravi and they discuss how to move forward.
Then he gets a call and that call changes everything.
As he walks on to that stage, he doesn't just feel guilty. He feels shameful and undeserving. He doesn't deserve this. Not the 4 lakhs, not the applause, not the admiration in Ankitha's eyes, not the respect from home resident and not the love from villagers. He doesn't deserve anything.
He loathes himself for taking those 25 crores. He wants to rip every single note to pieces but it wasn't his money. It was some corporate's money given to him to sell out farmers. Farmers... they were farmers, who were forced to do jobs to get back their land and farm again. If the world had let his mum stay a farmer, then he would have had a mother now. He would have a different life, one which consisted respect and love.
So, he does the only right thing to do, he leaves. He returns the sinful money and is on his way when Ravi gets a call, this one changes his path.
He doesn't decide it when he comes back. He doesn't decide it when he sees the villagers hurt. He doesn't decide it when he breaks the henchman's face. He doesn't decide it when he beats them out of the old age home.
He decides it as he sits down and Ravi comes to him with their luggage.
He is going to be Jeevanandham.
Until the villagers get their village back. Because they needed him now not Jeeva. Jeeva was good and safe in the jail. This was his fight and he was determined to fight it till the end.
He was their salvation and they were his Day Break.

So, Kathir is a new character to me. I apologise if I didn't do a good job.
This was my first time writing him, so I chose a muse fic. I needed practice.
Thank you sada for this. ( I rewatched the movie two times today.. so thanks.)
Also we all agree that Kathir is a goat right!
Because he is... a goat character from a goat movie from a goat collaboration of goat people.
Also, here's an edit I made cause I love him.
