Outside the shack by the totem pole, Mabel and Soos were partaking in the most sophisticated of entertainment.

"Lick that elbow! Lick that elbow!" Mabel chanted as Soos tried to lick his elbow.

"Like the infinite horizon, it eludes my grasp." Soos philosophized.

From further within the wood, maniacal laughter rang out.

"Is that who I think it is?" Mabel asked as she and Soos followed the laugh. Mabel and Soos found the source, Gideon, when he suddenly fell to his knees and his head snapped backwards. Wind blew in from nowhere and Gideon's eyes glowed blue.

"gassem sdrawkcab. egassem sdrawkcab. Egassem sdrawkcab! Egassem sdrawkcab! Egassem sdrawkcab!" Gideon chanted, before the world turned black and white and wildlife froze. A triangular hole opened in mid-air, glowing blue and growing in size before turning into a cut of the night sky. The cut in the sky caught on fire and an eye opened in the middle.

Soos and Mabel hid behind some bushes and Gideon took a few steps back, cowering. The fire went out, and the triangle changed from outer space to bricks and grew a pair of arms and a pair of legs, and a dapper little bowtie and top hat.

The triangle laughed. "Oh, oh, Gravity Falls! It is good to be back. Name's Bill Cipher, and I take it you're some kind of living ventriloquist dummy?" Cipher laughed again as his body turned yellow. "I'm just kidding, I know who you are, Gideon!"

"W-what are you? H-how do you know my name?" Gideon asked anxiously.

"Oh, I know lots of things!" Cipeher said, before his body began to flicker rapidly between people, places, and things. "LOTS OF THINGS..." Cipher said in a slow, ominous, deep voice before returning to normal. "Hey, look what I can do!" Cipher pulled all the teeth out of a deer's mouth. "Deer teeth! For you, kid!" Cipher laughed as he levitated them into Gideon's hands.

"You're insane!" Gideon cried, dropping the teeth.

"Sure I am, what's your point?" Cipher asked, floating the teeth back into the deer's mouth.

Gideon gathered his courage before making his demands. "Listen to me, demon! I have two jobs for you. I need you to enter the mind of Stanford Pines and steal the code to his safe, and find information on a pigman."

Mabel and Soos gasped while Cipher laughed. "Sorry kid, but I don't run a charity. One mission per deal. Wait... Stan Pines?"

"I see... Go get the code from Stanford's mind, I have... alternative methods to deal with the pigman."

"I'll help you with this and in return you can help me with something I've been working on! We'll work out the details later." Cipher said. Gideon offered his hand to shake, and Cipher's hand ignited in blue fire. Cipher reached out and shook Gideon's hand, the fire connecting the hands in a magical representation of the contract and the flickering blue light lit up the clearing.

"Well, time to invade Stan's mind! This should be fun!" Cipher said, floating up. "Remember: reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!" Cipher yelled, being circled by rays of light before disappearing.

Gideon gasped, wiping the sleepiness out of his eyes. "It worked!" he said as he began to laugh maniacally.

Soos and Mabel stared, wide-eyed, into the clearing before looking at each other in fear. They ran back inside the Mystery Shack to get Dipper's help. Inside the shack, Dipper was sweeping the leaving room while his Grunkle Stan was sleeping on the yellow recliner.
