Chapter 26 - epilogue

Start from the beginning

"Will you marry me?"

Rumi knelt down beside him, tears already falling onto her cheeks, and wrapped him in a hug, sharing a long and wet kiss with him. Once she broke away, she rested her chin in the nook of his neck.

"Of course I will." She whispered into his ear. "It's about time, do you know how long I was waiting for you to ask me?" She sniffled out, barely managing to make a complete sentence.

She pulled back slightly, looking at the ring closely before carefully taking it out of the box and placing it on her ring finger. She slammed her body back into Izuku, wrapping them both into a tight hug, kissing him like he was the last man alive. They managed to stand up, still entrapped by their arms.

They walked back into the room with wide smiles, secretly knowing that they were now engaged.

"I'm gonna go get a drink." Rumi spoke to Izuku, who nodded in response.

"I'll see you in a minute." Giving a small kiss, she went over to the bar while Izuku walked over to Katsuki.

Katsuki noticed the smile on Izuku's face and asked about it.

"Is everything alright?" He raised an eyebrow but Izuku's smile didn't fade.

"Everything great." He took a seat next to Katsuki, who was internally freaking out at Izuku's reaction. "I'm fairly sure the photographer managed to get a photo of us, but I wanted to tell you something before you found out." Katsuki turned even more confused at the words until Izuku asked him a questions. "Will you be my best man?" Katsuki raised his eyebrow even further.

"Of course man, anything for you." He answered oblivious to the question, before slowly piecing it together. "Wait, did you?" Izuku nodded his head, trying to hold back his chuckle. "You did?" Katsuki slammed into Izuku, hugging him. "Good job man." Izuku gave a silent thanks but his gaze was ripped away after hearing a very feminine scream. Everyone's attention was drawn over to Mina, who was stood next to Rumi, her hands clasped over her mouth.

"I think Mina just found out."

A couple hours later

Aizawa and Kayama had entered their room, happy smiles on there face. Kayama took a seat on their bed, getting ready to go to sleep but after noticing Aizawa hesitating, she paused.

"Everything okay Sho?" Aizawa seemed to pause for a moment, thinking about something.

"I've just been thinking about Izuku." Kayama gave a soft smile, the moonlight making Aizawa remember why he fell for her.

"You got him back, must feel good?" Aizawa gave a nod, a proud smile adorning his face. Most signs of his usual exhaustion had left him by now as he enjoyed retirement with his wife.

"Yeah, I got my son back. And it got me thinking." Aizawa walked up to her, kneeling next to her. "Now that we're retired, Maybe it was time that..." He hesitated, the nerves getting to him. "Maybe it was time... that we had a child. Together."

Kayama teared up, using her hand to cover her mouth. She gave a silent nod, not trusting her mouth to speak.

And with that choice, another life would soon enter their world.

One that would be surrounded by those they loved.

Izuku's POV

I sat down at Rumi's table, lifting a bag of food onto the table, slowly unpacking the food.

"Did you get everything?" I hear her voice coming from her room. I kneel down, gently patting the golden dog by my legs.

"Yup! I even got some snacks for our movie night!" She rushed into the room, dropping whatever she was doing to rummage through the bag. She grabbed hold of a small pack of chocolates shaped like carrots.

"Yes! You got my favourite." She dropped the bag back onto the table and wrapped her arms around me in a hug. "Thank you." She took a seat next to me, her hands on my knees. I move my hands away from the bag and place them on hers, gently moving over the ring on her finger. "Y'know, there's something you still haven't told me." I tilt my head.

"And what would that be?" I felt confused, already thinking I told her everything.

"What happened to you during your two years of training?" I nod my head to myself, still unpacking the bag.

"So you want to know the truth?" A sigh escapes my lips as Rumi nods her head, her ears bouncing with her head, making me smile.

I take a deep breath, remembering exactly when everything started.

"Alright. It all started in April 2245."

And so, I began my story, watching as she listened intently.

I'm just glad that Alectos story has been put on hold for the time being,

And Izuku's can finally start.

Right here, next to the love of my life.

This was the life I always wanted.

And it's the life I've finally got.

My dream, was coming true.
