"Yeah, you too." They stood side by side next to the mirror. Izuku took a moment to look back to Katsuki, pride coursing through his veins.
"I can't believe you're really doing this." Another chuckle escaped Katsuki's lips.
"Yeah man. What can I say, I got the girl." He turned his head towards Izuku, a brotherly smile on his face. "And you did too, ever think about making it official?" Izuku shrugged his shoulders.
"I know we were together for almost a year, and now that I'm back these past months have been amazing with her. I'm just not sure she would say yes, I'm worried she'll think it's too fast." Katsuki placed his hand onto Izuku's shoulder, giving a comforting smile.
"Izuku, she took almost 8 years before going on a date with another man. I would say she wants to marry you." Izuku looked confused for a moment.
"8 years?" Katsuki narrowed his eyes in confusion. He nodded his head in response. "Sorry, I never tried looking into her dating life. I know I said I would want her to move on in my message but I knew that if I knew she moved on, it would hurt too much." Izuku seemed to deflate for a moment, mentally relaxing at the news.
Izuku gave a small pat onto Katsuki's back.
"Come on, you have a marriage to start." Katsuki let out a shaky breath as Izuku dragged him to the alter. Izuku stood by his side. Snow was gently patting against their shoulders as they stood patiently waiting.
Well, Izuku was patiently waiting, Katsuki was the complete opposite. His eyes were glued to the end of the aisle, and his fingers were twitching in anticipation while he moved from one foot to the other, unable to keep still.
Soon enough, the piano started playing and the bridesmaids walked down the aisle. Izuku's eyes were glued on Rumi, the light pink dress fitting around her body perfectly. Once everyone had lined up, the pianist changed the tune, playing the wedding march.
Camie stood at the end of the aisle, locking eyes with Katsuki as she walked.
They stared at each other with eyes full of love and Izuku couldn't help but feel proud of Katsuki. He ripped his gaze from the bride and locked eyes with Rumi. Revelling in each others beauty.
Once the ceremony had ended, the party had begun. Several speeches had ensued, ending in both tears and laughs.
Later in the night, Izuku and Rumi managed to get some time alone, walking outside onto a small balcony.
"Wonderful wedding right?" Rumi nodded, staring up to Izuku as he gave her his jacket.
"It's beautiful." Her voice was full of bliss, not only from the wedding but just being next to Izuku.
"You should've seen how nervous Katsuki was in the changing room." She let out a small chuckle. "But he gave me some useful advice."
Izuku reached into his pocket, pulling out a small box. Rumi started in confusion as Izuku's hand blocked her view.
"I've been holding onto this for a long time now, questioning when I should give this to you." Rumi simply stood in confusion as Izuku spoke, wondering what he was talking about. "But now I realise, after all this time we've spent apart, I wanna be with you as much as possible."
Izuku got down on one knee and Rumi reacted instantly. Bringing her hands to her face as tears of joy broke out. Izuku held the open box out in front of him, revealing a ring with a diamond sat on top of it.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I wanna sit with you at the kitchen table and talk about random chores. I want to grow old with you in the many years to come, maybe even keep your photo in my wallet." Tears broke out of Izuku's eyes. "Even though we spent several years apart, I know that every second with you will be a lifetime well spent and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together."
