Vi x OC

We took the cue and jumped down from the cubby hole.
"No, we're not ok. They almost saw powder." Vi spoke up first.
"What if they took her?" I asked.
"No one is taking any of you!" Vander answered. Meanwhile, Powder turned on lights, and Ekko stood by my side. "Never let that happen."
"It's already happening! You heard him, and they won't stop. We need to fight back!" Vi argued, punching something on the wall, and i didn't want to agree with her. I loved everything she is, and this is the moment i realised that. But i also realised that we're so different from one another. "And if you won't. I will."
"Vi? You can't... What about us? Powder? Me?"
She looked back to me with wide eyes, and i could see that she had scanned my face for true meaning, but i knew she understood. Her eyes however returned to their previous state, and her eyebrows furrowed. She turned back to Vander.
"I've heard this kind of talk before. Come with me. Brandy, look after the others."
I nodded at his order, and i helped everyone reorganise themselves and return to normal. We sat and chatted, me hugging my brother, and I noticed Powder got tired. I put her to sleep and went back to talk with the others. We sat and chilled for a while until Vi walked through the door.
I stood, and Mylo and Claggor welcomed her with small talk about where she had been and what was going to happen. Powder got up a while back, and i could see her fiddling with a bomb of hers. I went up to Vi and hugged her. She didn't feel the same. She was tense and ridged, and her aura had shifted from determined to unsure. Whatever they spoke about, it changed her mind or at least made her question things.
Me and Vi walked over to Powder. She immediately sprung into explaining her things excitedly for us.
"Look, I made them for the enforcers. These are smoke bombs, and those two are full of nails." She handed them to us, and we looked at them, smiling. "They're gonna work this time, I know it."
"Me too." Vi stated as she held Powders face. She gave something to her, and i immediately recognised it. It was her bunny. She had gotten it from the railing it had been stuck on for years. I was proud of her for doing it, but i knew she gave up on it a while back. Something was wrong.
"You know Powder what makes you different makes you strong. Always remember that, ok?" She got up and I followed her, she just walked out, I couldn't let her go on her own.
"And where might you be going?" I stood by the door watching her go up the stairs, stopping at my voice.
"There's only one way to fix it. All of it." She hesitated, she didn't want to tell me the full truth, but I knew what she was on about.
"Well your not fixing it by yourself, I'm coming with you."
"No, no way. You have to stay with Little Man." Her voice broke, it was strange saying her character has always been mentally strong, but seeing her at that point I knew everything that she put up was a facade.
"They are looking for five children, showing up with just one might not be enough for them. For us to be sure this is over we have to go together."
And so she finally agreed and we sent the message and we set out to Benzo's shop, seeing as we knew no one was there. I opened the door to the shop with my spare key and we set up in there.
"Vi, since we actually don't know what's truely going to happen to us, there's something I want to tell you."
"Yeah, thinking about so do I." She said as she smashed the window on the door.
"Yeah? Well, what if we say it at the same time? Like on 3?" I was nervous, heart was pounding and I felt like I was going to throw up but it was worth it. For Vi.
"1
2
3
I like you!"
We laughed, all the worry dispersed and all that was left was butterfly's and burning cheeks.
"When did you start liking me? I'm the most unlikeable person I know... minus Mylo but... you know." I asked, I genuinely didn't understand it, I was like a moth to the flame, but the flame didn't hurt and burn in the way it should.
"Um, what? You're so likeable, trust me but actually I recognised my feelings recently. But I think I started liking you way before that."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Go on then... what's so great about me?" She asked, with a sarcastic tone but a genuine question.
"I like your determination and the way you deal with people and the way you express yourself. I don't know, just, you, I guess." My cheeks flushed when I admitted it but it felt like ten thousand weights off my shoulders.
Footsteps came closer and closer to the door and upon realisation, turned towards it, hand in hand. We glanced at eachother and then stared at the door, ready for the next chapter of our lives.
Or so we thought.
