"Oh! Here it is." Monse points at the shop. Raquelle opened the door and let's Monse walk in first before walking in behind her.
"Hi, welcome to Unique Nail Spa— Oh, hey Monse." A girl around their smiled as she looked up from her phone.
"Hey, Jordyn. This is my sister Raquelle, she just moved here."
"Oh my god, you're gorgeous." Jordyn compliments as she walked around the counter. "So are you, mami." Raquelle smiled.
"Thank you. So, Monse you finally taking me up on my offer for that discount to get your nails done?" Jordyn asked her.
"Yeah. I guess so." Monse said making Jordyn smile.
"Elena! Ven aquí!" She yelled. A girl came up. "She wants... oh I forgot to ask."
"Umm, what should I get?" Monse turned to her sister. "Umm, she wants gel for her manicure and pedicure. Here, pick a color." Raquelle told Jordyn before pushing a basket towards Monse.
"What would you like?" Jordyn asked Raquelle. "Umm, do you think you can do this?" She pulled up a picture on her phone, showing it to Jordyn.
"Yes, oh my gosh. I've been waiting for someone to ask for something other than white french tips." Jordyn excitedly pulled Raquelle over to her station and began getting the colors she needed.
When Jordyn finally sat back down, Raquelle leaned forward. "I like you. Let's be friends."
"Of course." Jordyn replied and the two shared a smile.

(two days later)
"Hey, Raquelle. Wake up, school starts soon." Monse shook the girl but she just pulled the blanket over her head.
"Go without me. I'll catch up with you later." Raquelle waved her off.
"But I wanted you to meet my friends. Please." Monse crawled back into the bed, wrapping her arms around her sister.
Raquelle groaned but sat up. She fixed her bonnet that was halfway sliding off of her head. "Fine."
"Ok, I'm gonna go make breakfast." Monse left out of the room while Raquelle just stared at the wall, scratching her thigh.
"I don't wanna go." She whined, kicking the covers off her body before getting up. She made her way to the bathroom and began to brush her teeth.
After getting herself together, she met up
with Monse in the kitchen. "Where's dad?" She asked.
"He went on a long haul this morning. He'll be back on Saturday." Monse explained.
"So we're just gonna be home alone all week?" A mischievous smirk formed on Raquelle face. Monse nodded, giving her a suspicious look.
"Ok. Let's go meet your friends now." Raquelle started walking towards the door.
"Wait, where's your book bag?" Monse asked as they walked out door. She locked it before catching up with Raquelle.
"I don't need one. Everything I need can fit in my purse until I go buy some folders or something." Raquelle explained as they walked down the sidewalk.
