Chapter 6
Bhatt House
It had been three months since Abhay and Saayra's wedding. They both had settled into a routine. Abhay was still not able to accept Saayra as his wife and treated her as a roommate rather than as a wife. He would care for her, even take her and Eshaan out for dinner dates but there was no romantic involvement in their relationship.
Saayra's office timings were morning 10:00 am to 6:00pm after coming home she would immediately play with Eshaan and take care of him. She would prepare his formulae milk, feed him, burp him, change his diaper, give him a shower and make him sleep. Eshaan was slowly getting used to Saayra's warmth. He was now five months old.
Abhay was busy in his project work and would come home late around 9:00pm-10:00pm eat his dinner and go to sleep. Abhay and Saayra didn't get much time to have conversation.
It was Saturday and Saayra was meeting one of her childhood friend Tania after very long time. They decided to meet at Crazy Cheesy as Saayra wanted to have a pizza.
"Kesi jaa rae hai teri married life Saayra?" Tania asks with teasing smile
"Thik jar ae hai bas.Eshaan bohot hi pyara bacha hai. Usse ab meri aadat ho chuki hai. Ab maa k pas bhi nahi jaata jab me samne hoti hu tab. Use bas ab me hi chahiye." Saayra says with a smile
"Muzhey ab juicy details de pehle." Tania asks with a smirk.
"Juicy details?" Saayra asks confused
"Yaar juicy details matlab sex yar. Tell me how is it. Finally, you must have got to know how amazing sex is. Humesha kehti thi 'shadi k bad sex' 'shadi k bad sex' lo hogae ab shadi ab bata how was it? Did you enjoy? Was he rough? Tell me everything" Tania squealed
Saayra looked down and did not respond to her question
"Yaar sharma mat bol ab, muzhse to sari details mangti thi ab meri baari" Tania says
"Abhi tak kuch nahi hua hai" Saayra says looking down
"Kya? Shadi ko 3 mahine hogae hai or abhi tak kuch bhi nahi hua? Kya bakwas kar rahi hai" Tania says shockingly
Saayra tells her everything from the start about what he told her before getting married and how he will never be able to love her and give her wifely rights
Tania sits dumbfounded after listening
"Saayra tu pagal hogayi hai? Tune is rishte k liye haa kyu ki? Tu kya saari zindagi bhar bas Eshaan ko sambhalegi? Teri bhi koi expectations hogi needs hogi uska kya? I know it is very unfortunate jo tere sath hua bachey k bare me but iska matlab ye nahi ki only kids are your whole life. Teri personal bhi koi life hai yar" Tania says
Saayra has no comment over this. She knows that she has fallen in love with her husband. Everytime she sees him, she dreams of hugging him. Kissing him, spending a night of passion with him, getting a chance to see his romantic and soft side. She craves to experience all of this. But she also knows what she agreed upon before getting married to him. She has seen him taking His and Ayesha's photo at night hugging it and sleeping every single day. He had clearly warned her about his boundaries and she should respect that.
"Saayra I know tum kya soch rahi ho. But aisa kitne din chalega. You are young or agar dekha jae toh your husband is not that old. He has his entire life ahead. I know he has faced terrible loss but usse let go karna hoga kisi point pe. You have to take some initiative to get him out of his misery. Agar vo first step nahi le raha to tum lo. Talk to him about it" Tania says in a pleading tone
"I'll try" Says Saayra.
They leave for home after their dinner. Saayra reached home by 9:00pm and immediately takes Eshaan in her arms and feeds him as it is time for his feed.
"I missed you mera bacha" says Saayra while kissing him. Eshaan giver her toothless smile which melts her heart.
Saayra lays Sleeping Eshaan on his crib and goes to change. At 10:00pm Abhay enter their room and changes his clothes and lays on their bed. Turning his back on her.
"Aapka aajka din kesa tha?" Saayra asks
Abhay turns and looks at Saayra. It was first time in 3 months she has spoke while they were off to bed. He turns around and says;
"Acha tha. Project ka bohot pressure hai. How was your day?" He asks
"Acha tha. Aaj Chutti this isiliye childhood dost k sath dinner k liye gayi thi" Saayra responds
"Hmm" He says and turns around and goes back to sleep.
It was 1:00am still there was no sleep in Saayra's eyes. She was tossing and turning recalling Tania's words. She looks at Abhay's back. He was fast asleep clutching his and Ayesha's photo to his chest.
Saayra keeps her hand on his back and holding his shoulders she turns him around to face her. Being a light sleeper Abhay opens his eyes and comes face to face with Saayra's. She looks at him with softness in her eyes. She keeps her palm on his cheek. She caresses his stubble and leans forward and kisses his nose, then cheek, then his eyes and when she tries to kiss his lips he realizes what she is doing and pushes her hard.
"Pagal hoagayi ho? Kya kar rahi ho? Mere paas mat ana. Tum meri care or humari dinner nights ka galat matlab nikal rahi ho to me bata du ye sab me sirf mumma ko dikhane k liye or Eshaan k Khushi k liye karta hu. Me tumhe apni wife ki jagah nahi de sakta. Samajh gayi? Aainda ye galta dubara na karna," He says yelling at her.
Flinching at his tone Saayra turns her back at him and goes back to sleep regretting her move.
