I'll start by saying that to be honest, I have no idea how this will turn out. It might be the worst story anyone has ever read, or even decent enough to be readable. I am no adult, I'm just a young teen trying to find a way to put my stories and ideas out there, and what better place to start than Wattpad; the place for all types of stories and books?
Some parts may sound stupid, some may be cringy, who knows. However, I would prefer not to be given unsolicited advice. Unless you are a reviewer or I specifically ask you for feedback, please do not give random criticism in the comments. It's unwelcome, and I will consider it rude. Don't read my book just to criticize it, please. I'm saying this because I've seen some people doing it lately, and to be honest, it's a bit irritating. If you absolutely feel the need to do this, simply just PM me.
I've never written a story like this before, so please be patient with me. The version published here will most likely be my first draft for a while until the last draft is done, as my other drafts will be in Google Docs. With that, it's still in developing stages and continuing to be improved as I go along. So, if you read a part or a chapter and go "that was cringy", I probably feel the same ;) The only prior knowledge I have of writing is essays and many short stories, so once again, be patient with me please.
This story is currently still under some pretty heavy editing and revising, as I said, and I am doing research as we speak on certain subjects to be as accurate as possible. So, if some things you notice don't add up or are not accurate, don't be hesitant to let me know. I've already noticed a few things that need to be fixed for accuracy reasons, and will be fixed either here or in my second draft.
Also, if anyone reading this has lived through the 70's or knows anyone that has and spots something inaccurate (something that didn't exist then, a slang term/word that wasn't used, etc), PLEASE TELL ME! I'm doing as much research as I can as a Gen Z teen, believe me, but please let me know if I messed up somewhere.
