Shadows at the Gates - Part 3

Hi, it's me sorry for not updating in a while. also watch the episode first so you can fill in the gaps.  

3rd person 

Y/n: Something is taking out the guards. I should help them.

Voice: their souls have become... Forfeit get into the keep get your armor 

Y/n: fine

Y/n makes his way over to a bush that he pushes aside to reveals an escape tunnel. 

Y/n: The way out is now my way in.

Voice: ironic.

y/n makes his way through the dark tunnel and reaches a dead-end before pushing on the celling title out and pushing it out from the floor of the forge y/n pulls himself up and over to his forge and puts on his armor and sword as the names in the blade glow in the light of the forge. Briarwoods 

Y/n: something is coming. as he says this drawing his sword and grasping at the pommel and turns to the wall the shadows that cling to it begin to pull together into three undead wraiths

Y/n: "Let's dance." 

Y/n charges the undead monsters before falling to his knees and cutting their ankles causing them to collapse before bringing his sword around taking off their heads. just as quick as they fell, they recollect themselves and proceed to pull themselves back together.  

Run y/n

no shit

Y/n proceeds to book it out of the forge up the stairs and into the main hall

Y/n: "Holy shit"

Percy: "Y/N! What the hell are you doing here, and where have the guards gone."

Y/n (winded) "Wraiths..." is all he can say in between his breathing.

Before he can finish the hall doors opposite the group spring open by Jarrett and his reaming soldiers who 

Jarett: "WHAT DID YOU DO?" He says turning to Y/n "YOU, YOU DID THIS!" He says brandishing his sword bringing it down on him. Y/n quickly spins his sword around grabbing it by the blade using the cross guard to block the blow before rotating it around pinning Jarrett to a pillar. 

Y/N: "I DID NOT KILL YOUR MEN KNIGHT! CREATURES FAR WORSE THAN I HAVE DONE THIS!" As he shouts down the man's throat all of the torches and candles in the hall go out at once "Wraiths" he says letting go of Jarrett

Vax: "A what?" he says looking up at the rafters seeing three skeletons with black eyes and long black flowing cloaks they jump down grabbing the last two remaining guards pulling them up and dragging across the tops of the celling draining them of their life as blood pours out of every orifice as they age rapidly killing them quick fully and painfully (Duh)   

After they finish their pray one turns to Scanlan who's in possession of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis (Magic voodoo book of the Briarwoods) tackling the gnome as it begins the prosses again before Y/n goes full fucking Rob Gronkowski and tackles the bitch "Get away from my tiny friend." He grabs Scanlan throwing him over his shoulder. 

Y/n: "Everyone get to the Dining Hall!" 

 Everyone rushes in with Y/n throwing Scallan on a table and Jarrett shutting the door

Scanlan: "This fucking sucks."

Vex: "We need to fight them."

Jarret: "No use in you being unarmed anymore." he says throwing vax a sword and vex a crossbow

Scanlan: "I could really use my lute right now."

Jarret: "I thought you said it wasn't a weapon"

Scanlan: "Obvious lie."

The mood changes from shitty to extra fucking nightmare starting with Keyleth getting pulled up a wall by a wraith that phased through it causing all the lights to go out. 

Vax/Percy: "KEYLETH!" 

the two rushes to her aid but are taken out by a wraith that pins them both draining them of their blood. 

Grog tries to punch one as it out maneuvers him getting behind him and phasing its hands through his back and clawing at his chest slowly killing the goliath. 

Pike: "GROG!" she tries to help by jumping on the back of the wraith it drops grog and begins to drain her instead. 

Y/n drags grog over to Vex, Scanlan and Jarrett grabbing his sword and charging after one but it phases into him begging rip him from the inside out. Jarrett takes a piece of flit and using his sword to spark a torch. causing the wraiths to release their hold on their victims 

Vex: "The light!"

Scanlan: "Great time to make some more"

Pike tries to make more light but with her broken spirit it's become impossible.

Vax: "PIKE?"

Y/n rises standing getting to his feet and entering a defensive stance he braces himself focusing his rage with smoke bellowing out of his armor the runes of his sword begin to glow a deep orange as flames begin to flicker out of the runes overtaking his sword and igniting it. He charges at them managing to inflict a real damage onto the creatures. "It's not enough!" he says beginning to struggle.

Keyleth begins to panic watching her friends suffer seeing Percy pinned to the ground by a wraith. "Keyleth, It's time. Prove yourself."

The dark halls of Greyskull are all that are seen from the outside until a light begins to flicker from the dining hall that grows illuminating the surrounding forests as Keyleth congers a small sun in her hands causing the wraiths burn and turn into cinders as they try to flee  

Jarrett: "Where did those things come from?"

Y/n: "The Briarwoods."

Percy: "And they'll no doubt send more. We can't stay."

Jarrett rises blocking the door out.

Y/n: "Don't make us fight you too."

Jarrett: "Do you intend to stop those that did this to my men?"

Vox Machina: "You have my word."

Jarrett steps aside holding the door open.

Jarrett: "Then go. Give them hell. And wish me luck trying to explain all of this."

The next morning 

Percy and Y/n both with rucksacks head to the front door

Vex: "No goodbye?"

Y/n: "We're going to Whitestone."

Keyleth: "And so are we. if we beat Sylas his charm on Uriel will fade."

Scanlan: "And we can clear our names. Honestly, I wouldn't last a day in prison with a face like this."

Vex: "We're all with you, but... No more secrets all right?" she says poking the two 

Percy: "Thank you." 

Y/n: "All of you."
