At least I hope so.

There were homeless people here that had nothing and no one left, people that were trying to stay off the streets and get out of crime, women like me that tried to escape men that screwed up their life the second they entered, and so many other characters with painful stories.

It pained me the most to see women who were beaten unrecognizable. Some of them were so injured it was disturbing to look at.

The stories I had heard were sickening but I couldn't help but to relate deeply with them. Whether it was childhood sweethearts, bipolar boyfriends or even stalking significant others, I somehow managed to personally relate to each storyline.

I had lived a thousand lives with Antonio but yet felt like I had never really lived at all. The experiences I've had with this one man I swore I would love forever would make a jury quake. It was too disturbing to even think about let alone repeat.

I had a few people try to befriend me, but I couldn't trust a soul even if my life depended on it and kept as much distance as possible.

I was a loner here. Everyone had their people. There wasn't a single person solo here but myself and I preferred it that way. I couldn't risk possibly getting attached to anyone or getting in a bad situation with anyone.

If I am going to be running from Antonio forever I can't get settled down anywhere.

I especially cannot jeopardize anyone's life simply with my presence. Antonio is crazy about me and no man or woman is safe from his wrath by simply existing near me.

___

"Antonio I think your behavior is awful."  A teenage Drea stated matter of factly to her boyfriend. They had been dating for a little over a week and he was acting absolutely deranged.

The young brute was slouched in a chair with his eyes never leaving the human he loved most. The human he only loved.

His body couldn't function without her touch so his palm remained on her tensed thigh. Drea had just moments ago gotten up off of his lap to "talk" but he was too distracted with how far apart they now were.

Drea involuntarily pouted at his lack of communication and folded her arms looking away.

Antonio couldn't stand her eyes looking at anything but his and grabbed her chin gently to turn towards his face once again.

Drea melted under his touch and her cheeks were heated from his touch alone.

At the initial contact of their eyes, Antonio's gaze softened as he took in his beautiful girl. She was heaven's perfect lamb. The most perfect person he could ever encounter and she put shame on the looks of any human to walk the earth.

There was just something about the girl that held so much more power over him than she could ever comprehend. It was more than just her rare features. She was the kindest soul with the most intoxicating aura and she was an oxymoron herself.

She was the embodiment of light yet she brought the deepest darkness out of him like an angel on a day trip to hell.

If she looked any way he would still be enraptured by the energy she emitted but her sinful face and body just made his attraction all the more strong.

"I'm sorry," Antonio grumbled not really meaning it.

He wasn't sorry for beating the living shit out of a stupid boy that was touching up on his girl. Anyone that dare pull some bullshit like that was destined for a good whooping.
