"I'm driving you home.. it's dark and that's like a, 20 minute walk man.." Richie said leaning his head into his free left hand

"Okay.." Eddie whispered "are you mad at me?"

"No.. I'm sure you have your reasons.. but I'm upset, and talking to you right now, won't help." Richie said Eddie just nodded

At the Kaspbrak house

"Thanks, Rich.." Eddie said Richie nodded

"Yeah.. bye, Eddie.."

"Bye Richie.."
Eddie got out

Richie only stayed long enough to make sure he got in alright
Then left

At home
He dragged himself inside

"Hey, what happened buddy? You look on the verge of tears" Went said walking over
Richie hugged him tightly
Went hugged back holding his head as Richie started to cry

Maggie came in

"Richie, honey?" Maggie asked
Richie pulled away from Went and wiped his years
"What happened?"

"Eddie broke up with me.." Richie whispered Maggie sighed

"What happened?"

"He says he doesn't 'understand me'. We've been friends for years, since Kindergarten, but apparently not." Richie said softly

"Oh sweetheart.." Maggie said softly

"I'm just gonna.. go to bed.." Richie said going upstairs

"Should I talk to him?" Maggie asked

"You probably shouldn't.. I'll try to.." Went said Maggie nodded slightly

Wentworth went upstairs and knocked on the door

"Kid.. can I come in?"

"Yeah.." Richie whispered Went walked in and closed the door behind him

Went looked in disgust at the messy room but didn't dare mention it right now
He sat on the floor by the window next to Richie

"Give me that." he said taking the cigarette from Richie and putting it out on the window seal "you're gonna make your teeth rot."

"Having a Dentist as a Dad is always fun." Richie said leaning back

"Yeah yeah.." Went said softly wrapping his arm around Richie "wanna talk about what happened?"

"Nothing to talk about.."

"That's bullshit." Went said Richie sighed

"I just don't understand.. I loved him.. I still do.. and I thought he did too.."

"When I was around your age I dated a woman named Michelle Allen.. I thought she loved me and I loved her.. but she broke up with me after a year, cause she didn't understand how I did certain things.. all I'm saying is, maybe, Eddie wasn't the right person.. and that's okay.." Went said Richie hugged him tightly crying softly against his shoulder
Went wrapped his arms around Richie softly "it's okay kid.. it's okay.."

Richie walked into the store pulling his patch cover jean jacket on

Richie immediately went to the candy aisle and grabbed 2 bags of candy

"Richie?"
He looked over seeing Eddie

"Eds?" Richie asked fixing his glasses almost as if he doesn't believe who he's seeing

"Hey.."
