If your hand could reach inside my heart,
What would you do with it?
Would your shaky hands hold carefully,
Or crush it in your grip
Would you open it up to peek inside,
At the feelings I tried to hide
I never had to give you my heart
It's been yours for a long long time
If you could reach inside my heart,
What would you do with it?
Would you grimace at the sight and wince,
Much too bruised for you to love
Or would you tell me that it was okay,
And heal it with your touch
This question gets me all the time
For I haven't got a clue
