Never forget

Love is how it all started.

On this day I said good bye to my home

I will never forget how the sun shone

that one oblivious morning

and the unknown emotions forming

I remember walking in on my dad

oh how his face was so sad

the white crystal powder held in his hand

sparkled in the sun like beach sand

My waves came crashing down

I felt as if I were going to drown

my aunt walked me into the hospital holding me tight

she said "Its okay honey everything will be alright,

your dad just needs some help."

But i just wanted to yelp

That bright red exit sign

I felt like a book missing the last line

Shocked and gazing

the dark sky showing stars so amazing

I could not feel

I felt like a bottle cap with no seal

I'll never forget that night

how hiding my tears was such a fight

I'll never forget

Never forget that moment.
