"Uh well I was um" Miguel was trying to explain himself but he couldn't form the words and Y/N walked passed him looking around a corner seeing Sam putting stuff in her locker
"Miguel seriously just go ask her". He says to his friends who was now extremely nervous
"B-but what she says no"
"Look the worst thing she can say is no well actually that's not she could just straight up laugh"
"Not helping"
"Right sorry look just go for it You've got this you kicked Kyler's ass your confidence is at it's peak"
Y/N tells Miguel who nods and take a deep breath and walks up to sam

"Hey, I didn't realize this was your locker"
Miguel says and Y/N facepalms and groans

"Anyways, glad I ran into you Um, I've been thinking about you a lot lately"

Sam became weirded out
"I mean, not a lot a lot, just the normal amount that someone would think about someone else"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, um, I mean, I was......Do you want to go out on a date with me?"
'YES'. Y/N thought
"Oh Um, Miguel, that's really sweet I mean, I would like to With everything that happened with Kyler I'm kind of taking a break from dating right now"

"Yeah, no, I get it". Miguel says clearly disappointed
"But I'll see you in class". She tells him with a Bright smile
"Yeah, perfect, okay. See you in class"
He said about to walk away but then he stopped then the words of his Sensei poped into his head

"What if it's not a date, What if it's just two people, hanging out at the same place having fun separately, but together"
"That sounds like a date"
"Really but it wouldn't be a date". He says giving her a confident smile
"If it's not a date, then I guess it sounds like it could be fun"

"What about tonight?"
"Pick me up at eight."
"Yeah, totally, okay" Miguel says but then he realized
"Oh uh I have a bike" he tells her
"Uh, okay, then I'll pick you up"

Miguel walked away cheering to himself as he walked the corner to give Y/N a high-five
