The Goddess's given mission (DROPPED)

| CHAPTER 9 |

She looked outside and she saw a big luxurious mansion from afar. She realized they were close to the marquess's estate. She got excited and she started tidying up her dress and hair.

By the time she was done, they have already arrived in front of the mansion. The maids opened the door and helped her get out of the carriage. She looked up to see maids in a line. She and Anastasia were both invited to Lady Eloise's Tea Party. But due to the fact that Anastasias in a coma she was not able to tag along, so Annalise went by herself.

She was guided to the personal garden of Lady Eloise by a maid. She made her way to the garden excited and happy. They where walking to a big oak tree. It was huge!. Annalise was amazed by the size of the tree as she's never seen anything like it.

She finally arrived and greeted the ladies with a bow and smile on her face.

"Greetings lady Eloise, I am Honoured to be here"

Whispers started as Annalise gracefully bowed before looking at Eloise with a smile.

"Wow she's beautiful"  lady Liliya whispered to the person next to her. Lady Olivia. (They're besties)

'What a dainty and lovely-looking lady' Lady Aurelia thought as she just sat there looking at Annalise looking dazed.

'Yes!' Annalise thought.

She looked around but she saw someone and her smile darkened for a second before she hid it. She saw Lady Odette Ruby Felonine. Daughter of the Grand Duke of the Zylex empire.

They both had similar intentions towards the Crown Prince and they both have similar personalities. Annalise always portrayed herself as an innocent, fragile, and sweet girl that could shatter at the slightest touch. She sees this personality as someone who is loved by everyone. She's never met someone who believes and does the same thing so she's a bit worried.

She developed this personality from all of the story books she's read since she was 5. She often asked her maids to bring her story books with heroines who get married to a prince and live happily ever after.

She hated the fact that there was always that one person who ruined the heroine's plans. She viewed Anastasia as that person. She believes she is the princess that gets saved by the crown prince and lives happily ever after.

Eloise offered her a seat next to Lady Olivia. Annalise sat down while still smiling. She looked at Olivia with a smile and complimented her corn-yellow hair. This made Olivia blush in embarrassment before covering her face and giggling. This was all part of Annalise's plan.

The maids came out with players of pastries and tea. The maid placed a cup of honey lemon tea in front of Annalise.

"Mm! This is my favorite!"

Annalise smiled. Odette couldn't help but roll her eyes. Annalise saw this and frowned. She picked up the cup of tea and sipped from it gracefully. Lady Aurelia tried striking up a conversation by completing her.

"You look lovely today, Princess Annalise"

"O-oh...thank you!"

"There's no need to call me so formally, lady Aurelia"

Annalise chucked before talking again

"Just call me Annalise" she smiled.

Odette couldn't help but feel annoyed.

'I've been living here for years! How can she make a friend so quickly?!' She thought to herself while gripping her dress tightly.

"...tsk..." Odette mumbled to herself. Aurelia heard what she said and tried to confront her.

"Is there a problem? lady Odette?"

"H-hm?" Odette stuttered feeling dumbfounded.

"I heard you say something?"

"Did I d-do something w-wrong?..."

Odette said deciding to put on her innocent act.

"W-what?"
Aurelia was shocked! How could this girl try and act so innocent after mocking her innocent friend Annalise?!

"B-but you tried m-mocking Annalise..."

"H-huh?..." Odette said in a cutesy voice.

She looked like a kitten that was being bullied and was about to bursts into tears.

"..You-" Aurelia was cut off by Odette.

"Are you accusing m-me?"

"B-but..."

Odette bursts into tears as she tried covering her face with a handkerchief.

Olivia and Liliya stood up and rushed to Odette's side.

"No! Y-your framing me!"
Aurelia stood up and shouted at Odette.

Eloise couldn't take it anymore and banged her fist on the table.

"Enough!"

Everyone went silent as they turned their heads to Eloise looking angry.

"Lady Aurelia! Do insolent your acting towards the daughter of the Grand duke!"

"..." Aurelia could only stare in shock feeling dumbfounded

"You are no longer welcome here."

Eloise said after signaling her maids to escort Aurelia out.

Aurelia tried pleading with Eloise but she could not convince her.

A few minutes later, Odette finally calmed down and stopped crying.

Annalise was annoyed because for once the attention wasn't on her. They where all busy trying to calm Odette down. Odette caught a glimpse of Annalise looking annoyed. She hid a smile under her handkerchief with satisfaction.

'I hope you liked what I did to your dress, Princess'
