Scanning his eyes across your face Polnareff let out a grunt letting go of your jacket and pulling back, "You're not making sense. But do whatever you want, just stay out of my way." Fixing the way his bag sat, Polnareff remained silent, beginning to walk once again, you following alongside also in silence.

Polnareff's eyes once again lingered around the surrounding area in search of the enemy stand user, only really muttering under his breath a few times before casting his gaze towards the sun gradually beginning to dip into the horizon.

"We should call it in for tonight." Breaking the silence between the two of you, you added on right away. "If the enemy stand knows we are here then there's no way they'd leave." Risking a glance towards Polnareff you watched the man suck in a breath, his shoulders rising and falling as he did so.

"I hate to say you're right." Twisting around in place Polnareff's eyes fell among a lone hotel, the man right away heading towards it with the assumption that you'd follow. There was still a tense air between the two of you, it wasn't nearly as tense as it was between the ivory haired man and Avdol though. More in a- there's a lot on his mind therefore no conversation was made.

Lingering behind as the two of you entered the hotel you watched Polnareff near the front desk, the man gesturing around a few times to aid with communication before being handed a key. Heading towards the hotel's stairway he paused, raising a hand your way in a 'come here' motion, you once again following.

"They're almost at full capacity and the rooms are only meant for one, so the stay won't be as cozy." Briskly stating that the ivory haired man glanced towards the key in hand before trailing his eyes over the room numbers that passed by, stopping only once the matching number was seen.

As he mentioned the room certainly did appear for one, the small area of it and sparse furniture was enough to coincide with what was said.

Throwing down his bag onto the floor by the foot of the bed he sucked in a breath, "Make yourself comfortable, I'll be right back." Brushing past where you stood in the small hallway he slipped into the bathroom closing the door behind him.

Stepping into the room your eyes trailed across the plain grey walls before shifting past the blinds towards the street outside. You recalled what was said about the enemy stand user but also felt like there was more to it than just them being a 'mirror' stand.

Releasing a sigh you moved off towards the bed taking a seat and right away pulling your legs in to rest your chin among them, neither you nor Polnareff had bothered turning the lights on and even when the man was finished doing whatever they remained off.

His large form now occupied the table set out underneath the window, leg raised to rest and elbow on it while his eyes were casted between the blinds much like your own were mere moments prior. The neon coloured sign from outside left trails of colour across the man's face illuminating the subtle frown strewn out across his lips. His eyes were stony and there were no words uttered between the two of you, just the faint ambiance from outside.

Swallowing thickly you took in a deep breath opening your mouth to speak, "Tell me about her." His head turned towards where you sat, brows furrowed before you rephrased the question. "About your sister I mean. What was she like?" Wrapping your arms around your legs you paused moving one to pat the bed beside you.

Sucking in a breath he reluctantly pulled away from the window rising up to switch places ending in the bed dipping from his weight, his eyes were hazy almost like he was reminiscing. "Sherry...she was extraordinary, the kind of person who held everyone's attention, from the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved to how she had the ability to brighten anyone's day."

"She used to wake up every morning just to run down to the bakery and help the old woman who worked there, I remember her always coming home with baked goods of the sort, something she always smelled of. Maybe even something floral, it's been so long. . ." You could see the frown on his face fall and the smallest crack of a smile begin to form, his eyes although out of focus for a moment trailed towards where you sat beside him.

Even if earlier he'd told you to go away and leave, he couldn't help but be glad you were there with him.

"She was a lot like you now that I think about it." His words caught your attention right away and a look was given for him to explain. "Strong willed but playful, not afraid to speak your mind and not afraid to do what was needed."

A gentle hum left you in response to what he'd said, "She sounds like a wonderful person," Turning your head so that your cheek was resting on the point of your knee, you spared him a warm smile. "I'm sure her and I would have been good friends." Locking his gaze with your own Polnareff's smile grew some more, a gentle nod was given causing his broken heart earrings to sway.

Pulling one of his legs up and holding it much like how you were holding yours Polnareff spoke, his voice soft this time around and his question something that'd been on his mind. "When you were following me earlier...what did you mean by 'So what if I die? It wouldn't be the first time.'"

The question had your full attention and right away your arms tightened around your legs, "Would you believe me if I said I can't die?" Your eyes lingered across his expression for a moment or two.

"What do you mean?"

Taking in a breath you started to explain in a simple way, "I've never been able to die, I mean my current body can die but I'll be back a few years down the line with a whole new life." Trying to gauge his reaction you could begin to see little puzzle pieces forming in his head. "It's been going on for as long as I can remember and it wasn't till a few years ago did I learn that I take over someone's previous life, like some sort of parasite."

Hearing you explain that Polnareff let out a hum, weird things have always been a common occurrence in the life of a stand user. But hearing your story filled in a lot of gaps and questions he had about you. "Is that how you knew Mr.Joestar then?"

Snapping your fingers you gave him a nod in confirmation, "I did train with him, and meet him through an acquaintance. But I met eighteen-ninteen year old him. Joseph, Caesar and I were a team and we fought together. I just died too soon."

"What about your connection with Dio then? Why were you on this trip?"

A bitter laugh left you in response to that, "Same thing really, I knew him as a kid. Grew up with him even as weird as it is to say, but things went downhill of course. Which is why my past card wasn't the best." At the end of your sentence you raised a hand trying to cover up a yawn.

"I'm sorry for telling you to go away earlier." He couldn't help but blurt that out, the apology sounding soft and his eyes once again trailed towards your face seeing that your eyes had closed, a hum merely leaving your lips in acknowledgement.

Flexing his hand for a minute or two as if contemplating something Polnareff raised an arm lightly resting it over your shoulder, the man's heart instantly swelling as you'd leaned into his side, your head falling to rest against him.

Releasing a sigh he leaned his head down softly planting a gentle kiss to the top of your head, the man himself shifting into a more comfortable position.

"Bonne nuit et encore merci."

"You are truly extraordinary."
