Lila smiled, "Bye-bye."
Lila jerked her head, sending Angel flying through the wall and into the air. Lila followed her -- less likely to die, however. Angel floated in suspended air, with her limbs glued to her side. She choked back, desperately attempting to get air into her lungs. Angel let out a raspy growl and powered up again, stealing the energy from Lila back.
Lila laughed, "You're a feisty one, aren't ya?"
Her eyes and hand sent off streaked of red, a star burning into her chest. She screamed, letting the energy run through her throat, opening it just enough that she could breathe decent air in. She was too tired, she knew. Her powers faltered and Lila threw her head back in a laugh.
"Oops," she giggled.
Angel fell out of the sky at an alarming rate. She heard shouts from her siblings as she hurdled to the ground. She let out a breath of relief, feeling the wind shoot and push her hair out of her face. It felt nice to feel the breeze for once, not having to worry about an end to a world that only ever treated her like shit. She didn't have to worry about who they'd fight tomorrow, or if she would survive it. She felt the wind chap the skin on her face and she quite enjoyed it. But her siblings needed her, now more than ever. Klaus watched as a red twinge glowered around Angel's falling body. She let out a scream, the ground inching closer to her within seconds. She forced herself forward, through the crowd of siblings and through the air.
She flew past them, earning looks of awe. She zipped through the air, looking down as the others ran after her, watching her as she smiled down at them. Out of the corner of her eye, blue energy wisps came and went inside the barn. She ducked down, flying through the open doors of the barn, earning a "what the hell was that?" from Lila. Five grunted and stretched his fist, only for Lila to blink away. She appeared a few paces from Five, tossing a frying pan at his head. Angel soared through the sky before slowing to a stop just above her siblings.
"Guys!" She shouted.
The Hargreeves looked up at their sister in awe and curiosity.
"It's Five!" She screamed down, "He's in the barn, he's in trouble!"
Angel turned her body and zipped away, landing at the edge of the barn door.
"Stop trying to muddy the waters," she heard Lila mutter.
"I never realized what she was up to at the time, but..." Five paused, "Now it all makes sense."
Diego and the other stepped around the corner. Angel held out her hand, telling them to stop and to listen for a second before they waltzed in there and killed Five.
"What?" Lila questioned.
"She never cared about your parents. She was looking for you,"
Lila shook her head and brought her voice to a whisper, "Why?"
Diego frowned and stood up, walking into the barn. Angel followed, making eye contact with Five, who reciprocated.
"Because you're one of us," Diego said.
Lila twirled around at the sound of Diego's voice, holding a knife up. She was scared, and it was clear as day.
"The Handler stole you, Lila," Diego limped closer to the girl, "Just like our asshole father took all of us."
Lila shook her head, "No. It's not the same thing."
"You're right," Diego nodded, "Because he didn't have our parents murdered."
Angel glanced between Diego and Lila, watching as Diego held out a cautious hand.
"Listen, Lila. You were born October first, 1989,"
