"Shit," Five muttered again.
He pulled Angel back underneath the table as soon as an energy wave shook the entire house. With a boom, the ceiling opened, dust and bricks falling straight to the floor. Angel looked up as the dust blew away, to see Luther groaning in pain. She pushed herself off the floor and stumbled to him, concern racking her features as she stared down.
"Luther, are you okay?" She cocked an eyebrow and knelt by his side.
Luther let out a groan, "I think I swallowed my tongue."
Five shook his head and stood next to Angel, looking down at their brother, "Luther, if you swallowed your tongue, you wouldn't be talking, you big moron."
Angel glanced at Five with a daring look, "Now is not the time, Five!"
Five rolled his eyes and glanced back down, "Come on, on your feet."
Angel and Five hooked their arms underneath Luther's and pulled up with all their strength. Luther stumbled for a second, catching a gaze of Angel's worried eyes.
Luther frowned, glancing between the two, "What the hell was that?"
Five glanced back, "She must have redirected Vanya's energy wave."
Luther nodded, doubling over in pain, "Yeah, I know, but how?"
Five glanced up just as bricks were tumbling from the roof, "Guys, watch out!"
Angel was shoved back into the wall just before Five collapsed from bricks falling on him. Angel's jaw fell and she rushed forward the move them.
"Five!" She howled as she clawed at the bricks.
A whoosh sounded just before her, causing her to look up from her task.
"What are you?" Luther growled.
Lila waltzed the floor with a slight smirk playing at her lips, "Someone who wants to kill your brother."
"Yeah, that's understandable. Diego can be a lot to handle," Luther nodded.
Angel glanced up at Luther with a dumbfounded expression.
"Yeah, I was talking about Five,"
Luther glanced down to the rubble of bricks, "Him, too. But unfortunately, they're family so you're shit out of luck."
Luther arched his hand back and hurdled it toward Lila, who grabbed his fist in her hand with ease. Angel stood as she watched Lila's face for any strain, but there was none.
"How is this possible?" Luther gritted his teeth.
Luther attempted to force his way against Lila's hand, which resulted in another stop to his fist.
Lila smirked, "Believe in yourself, big boy."
Lila grabbed Luther's wrist and threw him through the wall and outside. Lila smirked and turned to Angel who stared with venom in her eyes.
"You're next," Lila cocked an eyebrow.
Angel felt a course of energy flow through her body, her eyes shimmered red, her hands mimicking. She started off the ground as a star appeared on her chest. Lila began to choke. She clasped at her throat, wishing for air to escape into her lungs. Angel snarled down at the girl, forcing her throat tighter. Lila smiled and her eyes mimicked Angel's. Angel felt her throat get tighter as Lila stared up at her. Angel tried to resist the feeling, knowing she was stronger than Lila was. But to an end, she powered down, no longer constricting Lila's throat. She was being held in the air by an invisible force; by Lila. Angel felt her throat swell, and she could no longer breathe. She let out a gasp.
