The Experiment

Chapter 2

I woke up in a strange place. I was lying on a maroon couch with everyone staring at me. I decided it was a good idea to sit up and get a good look at the place that I'm in.

            "Wait you may not want to move for a little bit."

            "Why?"

            "You took a lot of energy out of you trying to get out of the chair."

            "How did I even get out?"

            "Do you remember anything that happened?" He was gorgeous; he had black hair with the brightest blue eyes I have ever seen. His shirt clung to him in all the right places showing off his muscular body. His body even had a six pack. Let me tell you about eye candy, he was the kind of candy that you just couldn't get enough of.

            "Uh...I remember that one of you, or you and the girl broke into the facility and there was like a thunderstorm?"

            "Yeah it was a thunderstorm." I looked over to see a girl with brown hair and brown eyes looking at me.

            "Okay then. While I was still in that room I could here guards shouting to stop whoever and lock them up with me. After that I passed out."

            "Well I guess you don't know much about this whole world then?"

            "No not really, I mean I have been locked away for 15 years."

            "That's true. By the way I'm Breezy. I have the power to control wind."

         "Bolton, I have the ability to create a thunderstorm with lighting and tornados." Wow my eye candy sure had a unique power.

            Breezy looked at me like I was going to share something. "Well?"

"Well what?"

"What is your ability and name?"

"Oh sorry...I'm Roxi I really don't know my ability yet but I know I have telekinesis. I heard some scientist talking about how I'm suppose to have unlimited power. Like I am suppose to be able to read peoples mind, teleport to any place I want, have like this brain wave thing that I can reach out of my head and feel where everything is or anyone who is coming, be able to manipulate someone and their emotions, and there was something else but I couldn't hear the last one."

After I said that they just looked at me with disbelief in their eyes. I took about 10 minuets for someone to speak.

"You can actually do all of that?" It was Bolton who was the first to speak.

"Well that's what I heard. I haven't been able to test out what I can do. I mean I haven't used my power since I was 2."

"Well it's time to see what you're made of." I froze at those words. I heard those words everyday for 15 years.

"Bolt what the hell did you do to her?"

"I...I don't know I didn't do anything I just said lets go see what you're made of."

"Dumb ass that's what they tell you in the shit hole she was in. They said that before they put her in the horrifying chair." Breezy looked over at me and I realize that she was talking to me.

"Roxi sweetie, he meant it in a different way. We are not going to strap you to anything."

I looked up into her eyes and saw she was telling the truth. "You promise?"

"WE promise."

With that I stood up and Breezy guided me to a door that I thought would lead me to a hall but it lead me to something that was completely different. The room looked nothing like a room. It looked more like a forest that went on for miles and miles and never stop.

"Lily made this room for some of us to practice using our powers. Thunder, Lily, Andre, Carley, and I use it."

"Who are they, and who is Thunder?"

"They are the others who are kinda like us but with different powers. They got sent on a mission and the should be back sometime tomorrow, and Thunder is a nickname for Bolton."

"How many others are there that are like us?"

"Well there are millions that are like us. We just don't know where they are"

I didn't answer because i didn't know what else to say but thankfully Breezy carried on about the room.

"There is a button that you switch on the outside of the door saying it's in use so you know better not to go in there when one of us is in our zones."

"In one of your zones?"

"Yeah once we start up on a challenge that we set for ourselves we don't focus on anything else. So if you come and let's say Thunder is in here and you get struck with lightning he actually didn't mean to it's just you move and all the fake enemies in there are moving. So he thinks you are an enemy when really your not."

"Well I don't need to be reminded twice not to go in there when someone else is."

We both walked into the...i don't even know what to call it. "What do you call this...room?"

"You can call it the sanctuary. Everybody else does."

Once we stepped in there was a HUGE tree at the center of the sanctuary and there was little trees, shrubs, and little stream.

"There are some places that are undiscovered still. Lily made this but she made it when she had little control of her powers and she didn't know what she was making at the time."

"So i take it Lily has the power to create plants and animals." I bent down to smell a tiger lily.

"She also has the power to regrow dead plants. It's a really neat power." Breezy was standing there looking peacefully around.

"I bet it is." Breezy and I walked around a few times before a sharp pain went through my skull. It felt like a knife just repeatedly stabbing in my brain. The last thing i saw was Breezy screaming for Bolton to come help.

And then...I was out once again.
