"Open up." He said then brought his fork to my mouth. I had to hold back a moan from how amazing it tasted.

Yeah, the prices were ridiculously high but at least the food tasted absolutely amazing.

We ended up enjoying our dinner before it was time to look at the desserts. "What are we getting for the kids?" I asked as he shrugged.

"I think I'll just get four of each that way they can pick and we get the leftovers." He said with a laugh.

"Isn't that a little excessive?" I asked as he nodded. "Yeah, but I don't care. They deserve it." He said causing my eyes to water.

He really loved them like they were his own kids.

"Are we thinking about getting any dessert?" The waiter asked as Colby nodded. "We will take four of each to go." He said causing the guys' eyes to widen. "Sir, are you sure?" He asked as Colby nodded.

"Positive." He said then pulled his phone out, looking at it with confusion. "Okay, sir. I will get that in for you." The waiter said then walked away.

"What's wrong?" I asked as he brought the phone to his ear. "What's going on, Jenna?" Colby asked as my heart sank. "Yeah...she's right here. Hold on." He said then handed me the phone.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked with concern. "Jules, Juniper won't go to bed." Jenna said with an exhausted tone.

"Put her on the phone." I said and looked up at Colby with sad eyes. "Okay." Jenna said then handed the phone to Juniper.

"Sissy." Juniper said quietly. "What's going on, love?" I asked as she sniffled. "I miss you and Colby." She whimpered.

"I know, honey. It's okay though, we're gonna be back soon. You just have to fall asleep and when you wake up we'll be there." I encouraged as she cried.

"I don't want to!!" She cried out. "Juniper, darling. You really have to go to sleep. Think about the yummy dessert we're getting you." I said as Colby frowned.

"What did you get?" She asked with excitement. "You'll have to see." I hummed. "Can I pleaseeeee stay up until you get home?" She begged. "If you promise me you'll go to sleep right after." I said as she giggled.

"After dessert?" She asked as I shook my head. "No way. You'll get a tummy ache." I said causing Colby to smile. "Just a bite." Juniper said as I chuckled. "Alright. Just be good for your brothers and sister." I said as she giggled.

"Okay!!! See you soon!" She said then hung up abruptly. "She's such a character." I said and handed Colby his phone. "What's going on?" He asked and put his phone in his pocket.

"In that five second phone call she not only convinced me to stay up until we get home but she also convinced me to get a bite of dessert." I said with a laugh.

"I swear, she's a mini mastermind." Colby said as our waiter came over with the check along with an obscene amount of to go bags.

"For you, sir." The waiter said and handed Colby the bill. "Thanks." Colby said then pulled his credit card out, putting it in the book without even looking at the total.

It was honestly hot as fuck when he did that sort of thing but I didn't want to tell him that out of fear that he would do it more often.

Once everything was paid for we made our way to the car.

"I don't think I'm ready to go home just yet." Colby said as he started the car. "What do you mean?" I asked as he pulled my hand into his lap.

"That was just too fancy. We won't be out much longer but there's something I want to do." He said and started driving. "Okay, I just don't want Juniper up too late." I said as he nodded.

"Deal." He said then started driving. I didn't question him since I knew that he had something planned but I couldn't help but wonder what was in store for us.

We drove for a couple minutes before we pulled into a random parking lot.

"Where are we?" I asked as he shrugged and got out of the car. It was fully dark out now so I could hardly see my surroundings but by the looks of it, it seemed to be a park of some sort.

"Coming?" Colby asked as he opened my door. "I guess." I said then took his hand and let him help me out.

"Here." He said and wrapped his jacket around my shoulders. "What are we doing here?" I asked as he took my hand.

"There's nothing better than a moonlit walk in the park with the person you love." He said with a grin. "You're such a romantic." I said as we walked down the path.

"Yeah, but it's really only with you. I've never met anyone quite as special as you." He said as distant thunder rolled in the distance.

"I was hand picked off the streets for you." I said with a laugh. "Remind me to thank Jake and Corey for being idiots that night." Colby said with a laugh.

"I wonder if one day our paths would have cross anyways." I said and looked up at the cloudy sky. "With who your father was, I could see it happening eventually." Colby said as my heart sunk.

"Is it sad I miss him sometimes?" I asked and looked over at Colby. "Not at all. What happened between you two is horrible, but there isn't a bond quite like a father and daughter." He said as I nodded.

"I've never felt so crazy....when I was..uh..killing him." I said and looked around to make sure nobody was around.

"You were traumatized, Jules. I've never seen a person so broken before and I've seen a lot of shit." He said as it started to drizzle. "You put me back together though." I said and looked up at him.

"And you made me feel whole again." He said and cupped my cheek gently as the rain started to pick up.

I found myself not caring that we were getting wet in some of our nicest clothes.

I never wanted this moment to end.

"I love you." I whispered as he caressed my cheek gently with his thumb, looking into my eyes with a look full of love.

"I love you too, Juliana White." Colby said then kissed me as rain poured down on us.
