A/n: K/n is a Kryptonian name. K/H is Kryptonian House. like EL or Zod etc.

Mine is Loth Ryo, you can use that or make up your own.

3rd POV:

"K/n...K/H."

"Of the fallen Krypton...."

".... Black Lantern Corps...."

"RISE!!"

Out in the depths of space, a figure clad in black floated among the stars, almost lifeless, the figure's tattered silver cape moving slightly as the figure headed towards his goal.

A planet full of life, one that was thriving with this living force, but the figure was the antithesis of this. A being of death, in the literal sense, his heart didn't beat in anticipation as he moved closer to the blue orb, he only had one goal and even death could not keep him from it.

This was K/n, a Kryptonian, a Lantern and one of the victims of his home planet's destruction but he didn't surrender. Instead, K/n followed the other survivors of Krypton and made it to Earth, although, he was late compared to the others who had already been on the planet for many years now. He made it his Death's mission to protect the remnants of his home world, no matter the cost or sacrifice, no tragedy would befall his kind a second time.

Walking along the streets of National City, Daxamite, Mon-El is minding his own business as he heads for the DEO to meet up with Kara. That is until he walks past a dark unsuspecting alleyway as a shadow-like tendril wraps around his foot and pulls him into the darkness.

"What the?!", Mon-el exclaims as he tries to resist but it is all for naught as a cold hand suddenly grabs him by the neck and slams him into a wall holding him in place.

"Who are you?!", Mon-el shouts holding back the fear caught in his throat.

The shadows begin to retreat showing the dead Kryptonian, K/n, floating off the ground as his silver cape billows in the wind. Mon el tries to discern the man's identity by looking at the figure's chest only to see a large silver triangle pointing down with thick silver lines flowing from the top of the symbol to the neck and cape.

"To think that there's a Daxamite here too. This planet is full of surprises.", K/n spoke not even listening to the Prince of Daxam, "How disgusting.", he says dropping the Prince to the ground.

Mon-El suddenly notices the glowing black ring on the Kryptonian's right hand, "Y-you're a black lantern? I thought you corpses were a myth?", Mon-El questions only for K/n to smirk.

"You're right and I'm not the only one here. Stay away from the Kryptonians or else.", K/n threatens as he shoots up into the sky in a black blur and disappears into the morning clouds.

*cough*
*cough*

Mon-el coughs as he clutches his throat feeling the bruising on his neck from his encounter. 'I can't believe it. They're real.', Mon-el thought as he pulled himself up and ran to the DEO in a mild panic as he ran past confused passers-by.

Kara's POV:

Alex and I were walking through the DEO when we came across Mon-el panting and looking around in a panic until he spotted us, "Kara! Is it here? Did he come here?", Mon-el asked in a panic as he approached us only for me to now notice what looked like an imprint of a hand around his neck.

"Oh my god, what happened to you?", I asked him as I reached for the bruising but he caught my hand.

"Now's not the time, I need to tell you something. We've got a big problem.", this alerted us as Alex directed us to somewhere we could talk.

"So, who attacked you?", Alex was the first to ask Mon-el who held an ice pack to his bruise.

Mon-el turned to me, "Did Krypton ever have legends about the Black Lantern Corp?", he inquired. Why would he ask that?

"Yeah, but they were just that. Legends, no one on Krypton had ever seen a Black Lantern. At most they were used to scare children at night time.", I confirmed.

"Hold on, what's a Black Lantern?", Alex cut in.

"Oh right. They're a myth that tells us of a collection of species that make up a group known as the Black Lantern Corp, the Corp is comprised of dead beings brought back to life by an ancient power that uses a black ring as a medium for that power. Or at least that is what the legend tells us about them."

"So what they're galactic zombies?", Alex questioned.

"No, they're sentient. They can access their memories from before they died, so they aren't mindless like the ones you see in movies. But legends stated that they are a scattered group, no actual goal set in mind, they follow their own rules... apparently- ", I spoke until Mon-el cut in with some shocking news.

"They're real. The one that did this to me was one of them, he was strong as well. I think he was a Kryptonian.", Mon-el revealed to us causing me to stand up out of my chair as I faced him.

"Are you sure?"

"His suit was all black with a silver cape, he didn't have a crest though it was blank. He was pale but wasn't rotting, he had h/c hair too.", he described.

I tried to calm myself as I sat back in my seat, the things I heard about the Black Lanterns from my mother they weren't just legends but real and now there's one on Earth, "We should try and talk to him, maybe find out what he wants?", I suggested and it was quickly shot down by Mon-el.

"That's an insane plan! There's no telling what this thing wants, he may be Kryptonian but the Black lanterns are personifications of Death. Talking to one is a crazy idea!", Mon-el gripped the table with such force that it began to crumple under the pressure.

"So, what should we do?", Alex asked.

A/n: thoughts?

Had this idea for a while, wanted to give the Black lantern corps a new light something that isn't entirely evil in a sense.
