Description: Mudwings come in multiple shades of brown mostly, occasionally they can be green or dark red and sometimes yellow. They have flat heads with noses on top of their snouts. They have armored scales, thick claws and teeth that are used for tearing into thick-scaled prey like crocodiles. They are usually bulky dragons that carry a lot of muscle.
Abilities: Mudwings can breathe fire if they're in warm conditions. Otherwise they have brute strength and actually prefer to fight with melee attacks. They can hold their breath underwater up to an hour when they are fully grown. Some Mudwings are fire resistant, they still get burnt but recover quickly and it doesn't hurt as bad as it would a normal Mudwing. However only the Mudwings born in blood-red eggs get this ability.
Skills: Mudwings as stated before are brutes and are incredibly defensive. They are also ambush predators and are able to take out large amounts of prey in seconds with their strength and stealth. They are knowledgeable in agriculture and can make a lot of useful things within days or hours depending on what it is.
Culture: Mudwings usually don't take care of their dragonets but this tradition is currently being challenged by the queen who loves all her dragonets and wants her tribe to do the same. Mudwings also have a yearly celebration around food and invite other tribes to try all their dishes (especially crocodile). Mudwings still have close relations to their sibs and value family more than anything.
Queen: Queen Myrtle is an old and strict queen. She has out lived all of her sibs and husband. She has many children and she remembers all of their names, ages, and hatching days. While being a questionable queen, Queen Myrtle is a good mother so she hasn't been challenged for the throne and it is expected that her oldest daughter will inherit the throne upon her death.
War: Mudwings during The Second Scorching took the side of the dragons and were valuable to the success of making humans go extinct.
