Chapter No 5: Her promise.

She gently made him leave her finger and went out. She came back with a glass of lemonade and kept it on the table.

She blinked her eyes at him for a moment and sat on a chair beside him. She couldn't help but look at him, her eyes tracing the contours of his features with a tenderness that could make anyone's heart flutter. His chest rose and fell with each breath he took, his eyelashes casting delicate shadows over his cheekbones and a lock of his dark hair fell over his forehead. Her brain seemed to be on a leave and she let her heart take the lead. She reached out to brush the strand away, her hand lingered in his hair, marvelling at it's softness. She watched as his chest rose and fell with each breath he took, she couldn't help but gaze at his face, a hint of vulnerability flickering across his features. Feeling her heart swell with an undefinable emotion, she couldn't help but reach out, her fingers wrapping around his thumb lightly, she started to inhale and exhale in the same pattern as he does. Her chest rose and fell with each other she took, in sync with his.

I'm not leaving you. Never.

She said, her voice a soft whisper filled with determination. As she continued to watch Armaan, her heart swelled with a mixture of tenderness and vulnerability noticing the dark circles etched under his eyes. As she watched him, she felt her heart heavy with a mixture of pain and sadness. She didn't knew why but she felt a strange connection to Armaan, a connection that went beyond any relationship. She couldn't pinpoint what but there was something about him that held her captivated from the start. There was something about him that resonated deep within her heart on a deeper level. She felt as if he was the character of the main lead from her novel, Falling For The Villain - she chose the villain to be her lover. That has come to life.

As she gazed at him, she couldn't help but think about the character she had created in her Novel. He also held a strange mixture of strength and vulnerability, of darkness and light, not showing his emotions at all, just like Aarav. He was a puzzle which she didn't knew why but she yearned to solve, a mystery she yearned to unveil. She couldn't help but wonder that what demons haunted him, the secrets that lay behind his stoic exterior.

I'm sorry Armaan.

Abhira said, her voice quivering with emotion.

Abhira felt a hand on her shoulder and turned. She stood up seeing Sharda Devi beside herself.

Sharda maa...

Abhira stopped startled as Sharda Devi hugged her. Abhira went still for a moment and then hugged her back letting out a trembling breath and rubbed her back.

Sharda maa kya hua?

Abhira asked worriedly. Sharda Devi tightened the hug and said, her voice filled with gratitude

Thank you Abhira beta.

Sharda Devi said, her voice quivering with emotion.

Abhira pulled away from the hug and wiped Sharda Devi,s tears.

Kya hua Sharda maa?

Abhira asked worried. She cupped Sharda Devi,s cheek wiping away the tear that rolled down her cheek with a soft touch.

Humare Armaan ko humesha log judge karte aaye hain Abhira. Logon ne usko itni takleefein deen hain ke bechara humara bacha pathar ban gaya Abhira. Woh darta hai bharosa karne se logon ka. Hum usko toota hua nahin dekhna chahate Abhira Usse tootne mat dena.
