“Tartaglia? Are you hiding away from me?”
Seated on the rail of the balcony, he seemed lost in his thoughts, looking at the city. The sun was setting and a quiet activity flowed in the streets beneath. Even if she couldn’t see his face, Lumine guessed something was bothering him. She had been reunited with her brother a few days ago and ever since she felt her friend was brooding about something. Until then she hadn’t asked him but now she wanted to know and do something about it.
She stepped on the balcony and started humming.
“La sombra de la tierra te ocultara…”
She had caught his attention but he didn’t turn to her yet.
“Y la luna te protegerá…”
She sat next to him.
“No olvida las cosas perdidas…”
He sang the last verse with her:
“Cincuenta estrellas.”
Both smiled, and the girl started:
“Well, what’s the matter?”
“Nothing, it’s just…”
He sighed.
“You’ve found your brother, and I’m truly happy for you, but now you’ll go with him and I’ll stay in Liyue, and…”
He fell silent. For a time, Lumine didn’t answer. She suddenly understood, and was moved by his sincerity. She felt a warm joy wrapping her heart and going up to her cheeks. In a soft voice she answered:
“It’s not the end. I’ll travel with my brother, but I promise I’ll come back. So you just wait because it won’t be long!”
He smiled and patted her head before saying:
“Ojou-chan, I like you. What should I do?”
