"Well, we're pulling up now" I tell Sarah. "This isn't sketchy at all"

"Maybe it's a secret base?" She suggest. Sam wouldn't have sent us here if he wasn't here.

"At least we have weapons now" Sarah encourages. "Bandaids don't fix bullet holes"

"It's gonna hurt like a bitch that's for sure" I mutter. Something about this mission just feels...off.

As we approach the abandoned building in Vienna, I can't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The place looks like it's been forgotten by time, with crumbling brickwork and shattered windows. The once-vibrant paint has faded to a sickly shade of gray, and there are weeds growing up through the cracks in the pavement.

The air is thick with the smell of decay, and I can't help but wonder what kind of secrets this place holds. As we approach the entrance, I can see that the door has been broken down, leaving a jagged gap in the wood.

Inside, the place is even worse. The walls are covered in a thick layer of grime, and the floors are littered with broken glass and discarded trash. There's a musty smell in the air, like something died in here a long time ago.

I can hear rats scurrying in the walls, and I can't help but shudder. This place is a breeding ground for disease and decay, and I can feel the weight of it settling in my bones.

As a doctor, this was my worst nightmare right out in the open. I wonder what my poor buckets going through.

As we move deeper into the building, the air grows thicker and more oppressive. I can hear the sound of dripping water echoing through the halls, and my skin crawls with the thought of what might be lurking in the shadows.

This place is a monument to the darker side of humanity, a reminder that even in the most beautiful cities, there are always shadows lurking just out of sight. As we move deeper into the building, I can't help but feel a sense of unease. Whatever we find here, I know it won't be good.

Sarah and I exchange a glance and I have the biggest gut wrenching feeling bubbling inside me.

Suddenly, we're interrupted by a figure stepping out from the shadows.

My hand goes to my gun, ready to draw my weapon, but the man holds up his hands in a gesture of peace.

"Who are you?" Sarah demands, her voice sharp and authoritative. She's also holding her gun ready to fire.

"My name is Sebastian," the man replies.

"I'm gonna need a little more than Sebastian for me not to shoot" I threaten. He was a total English crusty muffin lookin bitch.

"if you'd let me finish" he says in a British accent. "I'm here to tell you that the drive you have in your possession is not what you think it is."

I raise an eyebrow, intrigued. "We don't have a drive. Explain."

Sebastian takes a step forward, his eyes locked onto mine. "That drive you picked up on the side of the road? is actually a weapon of mass destruction. And only you can activate it, Margo."

I freeze, my mind racing. How could this be? I had no idea that I had any kind of special ability. Well beside my blood type being the universal donor.

"First off, you're fucking loser for stalking me okay? Not chill" I say pointing out he knew my name.

Sebastian ignores my comment. "You're related to someone important," he says cryptically. "Someone who possesses a rare genetic trait that allows them to activate this weapon."

I can feel Sarah's eyes on me, waiting for me to respond. "What do we do?" I ask glancing at Sarah. She shrugs "I don't fucking know, turns out your defective."

"I blame my dad, he's weird" I comment. I look at Sebastian as he carefully approaches us.

Sebastian hands me a small device, explaining that it will activate the weapon and bring about the destruction of an entire city. I can hardly believe what I'm hearing and holding.

I would've used this as a coaster if I didn't know any better. Right at the bottom I realized the sphere has a little entrance for the weird piece of tech I picked up.

Sebastian drops another bombshell about how we got the drive. "The guy who bumped into Sarah when you got to Vienna? He was a delivery boy. And he's working with the people who want to see that weapon activated. That's how your ADHD brain decided to pick it up."

"In my defense, it was small and tiny. I love tiny stuff." I reply defensively. I was putting on a chill front but on the inside I was starting to become heavy.

We're in way over our heads, and we'll have to be careful if we want to come out of this alive.

"Okay, wait a minute," I say, trying to wrap my head around everything that's just been revealed to me. "If this drive is so dangerous, and these guys want me to activate it for them...why didn't they just take me? Why give it to me instead?"

Sebastian shakes his head. "I don't know. But I do know that the people who want to activate the weapon are willing to do whatever it takes to get their hands on it. And that includes taking out anyone who stands in their way."

I remember how the front desk people at my place were murdered in cold blood. My trail of thought is interrupted.

"Except, the people in their way, happen to be Captain American and The Winter Solider" He adds distastefully. You can tell it hurt his big ass corrosive piece of ego.

"He's not the Winter Solider anymore" I correct. "He's James Bucky Barnes"

"He's still an obstacle" Sebastian retorts. I really want to knock his teeth. "A big obstacle"

Sarah steps forward, her expression hard. "Where are Sam and Bucky?" she demands.

Sebastian hesitates, as if considering his answer. "They're safe for now," he finally says. "The Church of the Hallowed Voice, the group or cult. They've been causing trouble here in Vienna, keeping your boys, especially busy. Gave them a window to sneak to get to you."

"We need to find Sam" Sarah declares. "I mean what the hell? A fucking cult?"

"I blame my literal ancestors" I reply pursing my lips. I whip out my burner phone.

I take a deep breath and look over at Bucky contact, my heart pounding in my chest. The begins to ring and soon enough I hear James on the other end.

"Bucky," I say, my voice barely above a whisper. "I need your help."

Bucky's eyes narrow as he regards me warily. "What's going on?" he asks. I always greet him with a joke or an insult. This...this is new.

"Someone is after me, it's getting really really bad. It's a whole fucking cult," I reply, my words tumbling out in a rush. "They're after me. They know about the weapon and they're coming for me."

Bucky's expression darkens. "Where are you now?" he asks.

I text him the coordinates. "I sent them to you. Babe, They're dangerous. They won't hesitate to use violence to get what they want."

Bucky nods grimly. "You can count on me," he says. "But we need to be careful. We don't know what kind of resources they have."

I walk off from Sarah and Sebastian. I go by another wall of the shitty place. "I'm really fucking scared James" I say in a trembling voice.

"You're my strongest girl, you can handle anything" he praises. He's met with silence. He fills in "I've got your back. I always do don't I?"

"Thank you, Bucky," I say, my voice soft. "I don't know what I would do without you."

"I'll be there in 1 hour okay? He waits for a reply. "I love you."

"I love you too" I say with my raw emotions coming through. With Bucky I didn't have to fake it.

Together,  if we set out to face the cult, our minds focused and our hearts determined. It won't be easy, but I know that with Bucky by my side, we can make it through whatever the cult throws our way.
