---

Kageyama have asked Y/n to help him train with his tossing since he knew that Y/n used to be a setter before becoming a wing spiker.

"Heya!"

Y/n immediately stood up and was about to leave when he heard one of the twins voice, he was already done with tendo; he doesn't need another one.

"Still cold as always." Atsumu said as he followed Y/n

Y/n sat at the nearby bench waiting for kageyama, his brow furrowed and his patience wearing thin. It wasn't that he despised the twins. In fact, he acknowledged that they had some redeeming qualities especially when it comes to playing volleyball. However, their inability to recognize boundaries and respect his need for personal space was driving him to the brink of frustration and it wont be long before he would snap.

"L/N-senpai, sorry for making you wait." Kageyama said while trying to catch this breath.

Y/n immediately waltz towards the center of the court and picked up a stray ball. He glanced at Kageyama and tossed it towards his direction. Startled, kageyama nearly missed the ball.

"Hurry up, I still have something else to do." Y/n said

Kageyama immediately went into position and looked at Y/n who nodded at him. He tossed the ball up and was about to do his signature toss when suddenly he felt a light tap on his shoulder causing for him to miss the ball

"I can already tell you're setting it towards your back by how much you're arching your back." Y/n said as he placed a firm hand on his lower back and helped him fixed his position

"Try this one." He added

As he watched Kageyama move across the court, his focused is on his every step, and every motion.  It was visible how much court awareness Kageyama have, he consistently positioned towards strategic locations, allowing him to have a clear view of his teammates and the opposing blockers.

Kageyama seemed to struggle a bit with the new position that Y/n gave, each toss the ball would either go off court or completely slip off from his fingers which made him slightly frustrated

"Again." Y/n said

Its been almost an hour since they started and he's already feeling exhausted, his arms feels as if they'll fell off at any given moment. It was draining, and Y/n's constant demand for the ball was not helping at all

"We're not going anywhere with this..." Kageyama started

"Well if maybe you can be more flexible and learn to toss freely towards everyone then that way we can actually proceed." Y/n answered back while picking up a ball and giving kageyama a stern look

Kageyama frowned slightly as he heard his answer, he approached him and faced him directly

"My tosses are fine." he said with a little huff

Y/n raised an eyebrow and scoffs as he looked away, his hand gripping the ball slightly before dropping it down the floor and letting it roll away

"You know what? I can see why most people compare you to me." Y/n chuckled dryly as he crossed his arm, his head tilting a little to the side

Kageyama looked away and felt embarassed by what Y/n just said. He never really thought about it that way, he thought that it was good that he's being compared to the 'Prodigy' because of his skills and not for his past.

"Can we just—" Kageyama was immediately stopped mid sentence by Y/n who raised a hand and shakes his head

"I can hear those assholes a miles away. Let's pack up." Y/n said making kageyama confused

And as they were about to go to their bench to wrap things up, the sound of loud voices was heard making Y/n sigh in frustration

"Of course they're everywhere." He muttered to himself quietly

'Y/n, dear?'

He froze. His hand hovering ontop of his bag, eyes wide, hands slightly shaking and his pupils dilating as he suddenly felt a huge wave of fear engulfed his body

"...-npai...Y/n-senp—"

A hand reached out behind him and his body recoild by turning aggressively and grabbing the strangers wrist tightly making them Yelp in pain

"Kageyama!" Atsumu yelled out as he tried to break kageyama's wrist free from Y/n iron grip

"O-oi! Let go! You're hurting him!" Atsumu yelled desperately as he looked at Y/n

Suddenly he snapped out of it and immediately realized what was happening, he let's go of his wrist and took a deep shaky breath as he turned around and massaged his chest, feeling his heart beating rapidly

"What was that!?" Atsumu asked as he looked at Y/n's back with a worried expression

Kageyama just held his wrist as he stared at Y/n with wide eyes, he was feeling a lot of emotions and it's distracting him from the throbbing pain from his wrist

Y/n picked up his bag and immediately walked towards the stadiums door, his head hung low as he felt extremely scared and ashamed of what he just did to his supposed to be junior.

Atsumu turned to Kageyama and hesitated to speak up as the atmosphere was still heavy above them

"Are you...okay?" Atsumu finally asked in a small hushed tone

Kageyama just stared at his wrist, Y/n's fingers were starting to form as a bruise.
