"Hello, I'm Dr V, your new psychologist," Taehyung greeted as soon as he had opened the door, bowing slightly when his eyes landed on the figure that was sitting in front of his desk on the patient chair. "You can also call me Taehyung if that'd make you more comfortable," he said reassuringly as he also closed the door after entering, and placed the papers from Mrs Kim - that contained information about Jeon Jungkook - on his desk as he sat down on his office chair. "Nice to meet you Jeon Jungkook." The boy didn't even glance up to look at the psychologist. "You know, it's considered rude to not greet back, not to mention not even looking up at me."

Taehyung liked to use this trick because it usually made his patients glance up at him. Jungkook, however, didn't respond and his gaze remained on his lap. "I'm just joking, I'm not expecting you to do that. I understand you're having a hard time," Taehyung said. He didn't want the boy to hate him right from the moment they met, so he decided to retreat right away after his trick showed no effect on the fragile boy.

Taehyung judged the body language from the patient, and waited patiently, trying to make the boy feel as comfortable as he could. They sat in silence, and this also gave him the opportunity to read up about his new patient a little.

Has previously been to six different psychologists - none of them were effective.

Hasn't spoken a single word to anyone in three years.

Has been heard and witnessed screaming in his sleep by his foster parents - never talks about it.

Foster parents are currently searching for a mental hospital close by.

Taehyung paused and looked up from the papers as he was scanning through so that he could face the sick boy. "Jungkook, I'm here to help you. You understand that, right?" he tried again, but the boy remained still. Taehyung had a mental battle with himself to come up with something to make the boy react. "You understand the consequences of not talking to me, right? Your foster parents are currently searching for a hospital for you. Do you want to move to a hospital instead of living at home?" Taehyung questioned persistently, hope shining in his eyes as he stared at the younger boy.

He gave up as the boy hadn't moved even an inch. He sighed in frustration, moving to sit back comfortably in his seat. He hadn't even noticed that he was almost on top of his desk, having been too focused on Jungkook's reactions, which were failing to meet his expectations. But to Taehyung's bad luck, he hadn't made the boy move at all in his seat, hell, not even his gaze had moved.

Taehyung had never been in this kind of situation before. He had used all of his successful tricks, which weren't many. They had always been effective on his previous patients, but Jeon Jungkook was different. Much more different from his previous patients.

Time passed, and Taehyung had never ever felt like this. He had never been this quiet, at least not with another person being in the same room with him. Even if Taehyung wasn't very happy, he was still a talkative person - or rather - he liked listening to others. That, however, was impossible with Jeon Jungkook. With that small boy around, he had to talk.

"Alright, times up with today's session. I'll see you next Friday, Jungkook," Taehyung announced as his eyes met the watch on his desk, showing one and a half hours had passed slowly by. He observed the boy as he slowly lifted himself up from his chair. He dragged his feet over to the door, which the psychologist was holding open for him, and kept his gaze down as he walked out. Taehyung waved Jungkook goodbye, although the boy didn't see it because he didn't look back at him.

Taehyung closed the door after watching the young male walk towards Ms Song, who was now leading him out of the building and was going to drive him home; Ms Song's job was to drive all of Taehyung's patients to their houses if nobody picked them up themselves.

It actually surprised Taehyung that Jungkook's foster parents weren't there to pick him up. When he was sure that Jungkook was in safe hands, he closed the door, sat back down at his desk, and picked up the phone. Before entering any numbers, he flipped through the papers containing all of Jeon Jungkook's information till he found what he was looking for. He then dialed the number and waited for someone to pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Dr V, Jeon Jungkook's new psychologist. Am I speaking with Yoo Sona-ssi?" Taehyung asked after hearing a female voice on the other line.

"Ah, yes, hello!" the woman's voice replied happily.

"I was wondering if I could set up a meeting with you and your husband as soon as possible? A private one, without your foster son here?" Taehyung asked, waiting for a response.

"Can you speak about this with my husband? Please wait, I'll give him the phone," she said before Taehyung could say anything. He only wanted to meet them and talk with them. At first, he felt talking to them wouldn't be necessary because he hadn't thought it'd be very difficult handling their son, but the boy proved him wrong. Taehyung felt the need to talk to them in person after his meeting with the helpless boy.

"Hello, this is Yoo Sukjin," he heard someone speak on the other line.

"Hello, this is Dr V, your son's new psychologist", Taehyung greeted back, only to be met with a surprised gasp.

"Oh, hello Mr Kim! We didn't know you'd accepted our request and make Jungkook your patient, but we really appreciate it!" the husband almost yelled into the phone, causing Taehyung to silently giggle to himself. All guardians, or relatives, of his patients showed the same reaction and the same gratitude whenever he'd accept the new patients being assigned to him.

"I'll try my best for Jungkook. I truly want him to get better, and I want to prevent him from moving into a hospital," Taehyung said warmly but stopped himself from saying too much over the phone. "The reason I called is that I'd like to request a meeting with you and your wife, without Jungkook as soon as possible," he advised.

"We'd love to meet you in person and talk. We're free anytime, except weekdays between 9 am to 4 pm," Yoo Sukjin replied, and Taehyung noted down, thinking that it would be useful information in case he had to arrange more meetings in the future.

"I was thinking of today if you're free, perhaps? I don't have any more patients today, and I was hoping to get this over with as soon as possible," Taehyung suggested.

"We can make that work. Relatives of ours are coming over, and they can watch over Jungkook whilst we're away. Is it okay if we can come within two hours?" Mr Yoo asked politely, and Taehyung sighed in relief.

"That'd be great! I'll see you and your wife soon then," Taehyung said, mentally cheering as he supplied his work address and his room number.

"Great! Goodbye," he replied, bidding the couple farewell and ending the call.

Taehyung stared up blankly at the ceiling of his office. Now, what was he going to do for two hours?
