Another Sip (Style)

~ Chapter 10 ~

"Uh.." I start to get even more mad that he's done this to himself. He looks at the floor and continues, "It's not that big of a deal dude.." he says. "NOT A BIG DEAL!?" I didn't want to yell, but I couldn't control it, "YOU COULD'VE DIED, AND IT'S 'NOT A BIG DEAL'!?" He looks up with his eyes kind of watering, "I.. I'm sorry" I remembered how much he hated getting yelled at, and I instantly felt bad. "I'm sorry for yelling, but why would you do this to yourself?" He looked up again, eyes still watering, "I just.." he looked like he didn't want to explain, so I just stopped asking.

// The Next Day //

// Kyle's POV //

I walk into school and I start to unpack my stuff and put it into my locker. I go into my first class when the bell rings. I didn't see Stan, maybe he was skipping.

The next classes go by, and the ones I had with Stan, I didn't see him. I go to the cafeteria because it's lunch, I look around and I don't see him anywhere. I decided to check in with Kenny to ask where Stan was. "Hey Kenny, do you know where Stan is?" "Oh, well he's at the hospital right now" I was shocked, "hospital?" I am concerned for Stan, we may not be friends anymore but I still care about him!! "Yeah. Which reminds me, you knew about Stan drinking, didn't you?" I looked up at him, shocked by the question. "I- I don't know what you're talking about" I say. "Kyle I'm not stupid" I sigh and I start to speak again "Ok fine I did, I just didn't think telling anyone would make the situation better, and I've tried many times to take the bottles away from him but.. he always finds a way.." he's kinda shocked "wait, bottles? How many are we talking here? 3? 4? 5?"

I look at the floor trying to remember how many, I then look back at him "I think he's been drinking since 4th or 5th grade.." Kenny looks even more shocked, "WHAT!?" Everyone hears his yell, and they look over at us before continuing with their business.

The final bell rings and I leave the shocked Kenny to go home. I wanted to see Stan but I knew he would hate me, he probably never wants to see me again.

I went to my room and I just wanted to cry, everything was so confusing at this point, I just wanted to remember everything. I want to reverse time..this Is all my fault

I had to make things right.

// Stan's POV //

I finally got home from the hospital, my parents were on a week's vacation and I decided I didn't want to tell them what happened.

Kenny came over and we went up to my room. "Stan, if Kyle ever asks you to be friends with him again, I think you should say no. Maybe you should ignore him from now on" I was confused, "what? Why?" I asked. "Well, it's been getting you down lately, and if you return to him it's only going to be worse for your mental health. If you just ignore him, you'll have time to heal" I think about it for a minute, he was right.. "Ok" I said.

We played Minecraft and other games, but it got dark outside and he had to go home. We said our goodbyes and he left.

I got a message
It was from Kyle, and I didn't even change his contact name on my phone for some reason.

I was going to respond, but I think about what Kenny said, and I ignore it.

The next day at school, the classes were normal, until the last class. We had to be put in groups, the groups were randomized and that never happens. A group of 4, and then 2 people from the group work as partners for the majority of the time.

I look at the board, normally in other classes I'd get someone like Scott Malkinson to work with, but the group I got was Wendy, Cartman, me, and.. Kyle. I was kind of scared. I was supposed to be ignoring Kyle, and now I'm in a group with him!? The groups were split for partners, and just to make my day worse, Wendy and Cartman were partners, meaning me and Kyle were partners. We were all put into rooms to work, me and Kyle got the library. The rooms normally had two paired partners per room, but that wasn't the case with me and Kyle, for we got the room to ourselves.
