Hi!
Thank you so much for reading this story 🥰. Ngl, I'm doing this for both fun and writing practice. The whole story is pretty much planned out and I promise I won't abandon it 🤞🏽! Let me know if you like it (or see any spelling errors, plot holes, tense changes, etc.)
The first two chapters might be a little slow but it'll pick up kinda quick after that!

Slivers of sunlight cascade across the studio floor, dancing across the leaves of the plants that called the studio their home. The delicate lapping of soft ocean waves fill the room; and the soothing scent of eucalyptus drifts through the air on thin, winding tendrils of incense smoke. I quietly tiptoe around my intermediate students, making sure not to disturb their meditation. They lay perfectly still on their mats and focus on breathing in and out, slowly and intentionally. Each of them has shown tremendous progress in their chakra balance and alignment, along with their physical strength and flexibility, since classes began.
When I first began teaching yoga, I hadn't expected the class to become so popular. Part of the reason I took the job was to stay out of the way, out of sight, and out of mind. Becoming a yogi seemed perfect. Hardly anyone knows that the Konoha's hot springs doubles as a health club. Really, most people came to share dirty bath water and stare at each other naked. Still, that didn't stop the steady stream of students in all shapes and sizes from filing in and out of my studio, class after class, day after day. I look around at my students and realize, I don't mind. I enjoy the close, private sessions with my students and seeing their progress in real time.
A timer buzzes on my wrist to signal the end of the class.
"Alright class, that's it for today. Take your time getting up and I'll see you on Friday!" I say to the already shuffling students. A twinge of annoyance pulls at me as I watch a few students shoot straight up from their mats. Some people never learn.
"Remember, getting into proper position is pointless if you don't properly get out of position! You'll only pull yourself, and your chakra, right back out of alignment." My voice comes out cheerily, but a few students shoot me guilty glances and slow down.
Everyone says their goodbyes and quickly makes their way out. There are no stragglers after class this time, which makes me happier than it should. I am usually more than happy to entertain a few overzealous students and their endless stream of questions. Today is different. Today has been long and hard; and I'm ready to go home. As excited as I am, I still need to take a moment to wind down and clear my head before I leave. One of the first things I learned as a yogi was to leave it all on the mat, otherwise it will have all been for nothing.
I walk around the empty studio, picking up a few stray mats and returning them to the closet. I pull my mat nearer to the wall of mirrors and sit in full lotus. Pretty soon, nothing is on my mind but the constant, rhythmic flow of my breathing.
It took me a while to master the art of detachment, of letting go and quieting the racing thoughts in my mind. Mastering it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do; but every time I settle down and allow myself to mentally unload, I am all the happier that I did it.
Someone knocks on the door, snapping me from my meditation.
"Class is over!" I call out. Part of me wishes they'll wiggle to doorknob, feel its resistance, and leave.
Whoever it is knocks again and I am forced to untangle my legs to answer the door.
I quickly twist the lock and yank open the door, highly annoyed by the intrusion.
