It sucks to be a complete loser for someone. I learned it the hard way.
I knew where I stood with Blueberry, but at the same time, I didn't. It was weird. I've never been put in such situation before, probably because this was the first time I ever really liked someone.
I've had crushes before, but toward Blueberry, something just felt different. In just a short amount of time, I managed to like him more than I ever liked anyone else.
"Shuta . . . . " Napabuntonghininga na lamang ako at nahiga sa kama ko. I felt too drained to even change my clothes or even take off my socks. I was bringing all kinds of dirt and pollution into my bed, but at that point, I couldn't care less.
All of a sudden, I heard my phone rang. As I lazily grabbed it from my bag, I saw Braylee's name on the screen.
I was about to answer it, but then I remembered the last and only time she called. It was not her, but Blueberry.
I thought about rejecting the call or ignoring it completely . . . but part of me felt it was too cruel. After all, Blueberry didn't do anything wrong to me.
I took a deep breath and answered the call, trying to act as cool as I could. "Yow?"

Blueberry's voice sounded so happy that I couldn't help but smile.
"Someone sounds happy. Nagkabalikan kayo, no?" I asked jokingly, but deep inside, I was dying to know the real score between them. At least that way, I will know where I truly stand.
"Hindi, ah!" Mabilis niyang pagtanggi, natatawa pa. "Nag-sorry lang ako sa mga kalokohang nagawa ko at nagpaalam na rin. Biruin mo 'yon? Gumana talaga si Elsa!"
"You gave him Elsa?" Natatawa man, ang totoo'y bigla akong nanlumo. Pinaghirapan ko 'yong makuha bago ibinigay sa kanya, pero binigay niya lang iba.
"Sinunod ko ang payo mo. Mabuti na lang at gumana. Kinabahan talaga ako," masaya niya pang kuwento.
Hindi ko napigilang mainis sa sarili ko. I was the one who suggested to give it away, and there I was, upset when he really gave it away.
"Tree? Okay ka lang?" Blueberry suddenly asked, snapping me back to reality. Napansin niya siguro ang bigat sa pananalita ko.
"Y-Yeah . . . " Napabuntonghininga na lamang ako at napatitig sa kisame.
"Nag-away ba kayo ng mama mo?" tanong niya pa, at sa pagkakataong ito'y may pag-aalala na sa kanyang boses.
