Nicky Hemmick. Backliner for the Palmetto State Foxes, cousin and legal guardian of Aaron and Andrew Minyard, friend of Neil Josten, boyfriend of Erik Klose, and estranged son of Maria and Luther Hemmick.
His father is a minister and 'rescued' his mother while doing work in Ensenada, Mexico. *scene cuts to me barfing about how racist that is in the background*. Luther is one of my least favorite characters, considering what happened with Drake and Andrew *barfing*.
He identifies as gay, but his strict religious parents sent him to conversion therapy camp (if anyone here has been in this situation, I am so sorry and I want you to know that you are beautiful and deserving of love no matter what your sexuality is). This caused him to become depressed but a high school teacher noticed what was happening and had him sent to Germany as an exchange student where he met Erik Klose, his host brother and eventually became his boyfriend (three cheers for healthy MLM relationships! They are still going strong too). Nicky has been shown to care a lot about the twins, who he agreed to look after when his aunt died, even though they don't realize it and one of them is homophobic to him *cough this is my reason for not liking Aaron cough*
Nicky is an interesting character. Without spoiling too much from the book, he did something pretty bad to Neil, by Andrew's command (is that the right term for it). He later apologizes to Neil for his actions and they later become friends and don't speak of the incident previously mentioned. And let's be honest, everything that Riko and Nathan did makes him look tame. Which he is.
He is fluent in German, has a list of date-able celebrities (Kevin's on that list), loves sweets, his cousins, and betting (probably not so good).
I actually took a "Which AFTG character are you?" quiz and got him as a result. I actually took it multiple times (I got Andrew and Neil as well). He's definitely one of my favorite characters in the series.
