Keeping Secrets

Prologue

Let's start at the beginning. My family has been living on the island for over 300 years. We've seen the world grow older and humans evolve. They are learning to fight back with all their nuclear weapons and their lust for war. They do what they must to survive. It's the same for us, only our weapons are our bodies. We are ready made killing machines and once blood has been spilt we can't stop.

If you haven't already guessed it, my story isn't for you. I am a vampire. I am 316 years old but trapped in the body of a mere 17 year old. I've killed over 1000 people, not because I'm evil but because it's our way of life.

The humans can't know we exist.

Vampires who tell, are punished to death.

But what happens when you become fed up of running?

Or worse, tired of keeping secrets.
