I woke up in a sweat, my back was aching terribly and I had a raging headache. I looked around my surroundings, the panic from my pain only increasing from the unknown place I was in. Dark oak walls, and spruce planked floors.. a table, a large open window and a huge bed with an extremely puffy comforter I was underneath, far different from the thin sheets of the beds me and Steve used to sleep every night in.

My breath was shaking, and before I could even process the action of screaming, my door slammed open. I jumped and caught my breath in my throat, scrambling backwards on the huge bed.

It wasn't the man that I saw and encountered in that cave. It was someone completely different- and a horrifying sight to see once just waking up. "Ah! You're awake! Please, calm down, I'm only here to check on your health." A skeleton..? More specifically, a withered skeleton, but not dressed the normal way a skeleton should- (No clothes of course.)

This skeleton was dressed in a long, heavy brown leather coat. His appearance didn't seem to be as menacing as he was a moment ago, as he spoke with a muffled Victorian accent. "I understand your distress, but I must inform you that you are incredibly injured and I must attend to your injuries."

I tried my hardest to relax, knowing that his kind hadn't ever been the nicest as his act was portraying. "A-Are you a doctor?" I stuttered out, my throat hoarse from dehydration. "Yes, I am. And I can explain everything I am able to explain if you simply give me permission to attend to you."

I looked down at his bony hand, and instead of the menacing cracked and burnt stone sword that those of his kind normally held, it was a black leather case. I slowly nodded. Still unable to catch my breath.

"Oh- my patient, here, I can tell you're terribly dehydrated." He rushed over and knelt in front of me, my behind sat on the large mattress, his knee knelt on the spruce planked floor. He rushed to open his case, the leather squeaking with every movement. He removed a glass bottle with a small cork in it, and unscrewed the cork. "Here, drink up." I hesitated as he gently handed me the bottle, afraid of it being some type of potion. He shook his head and chuckled slightly, "Please try your best to trust me. I have no reason to harm you."

I took a sip from the bottle, the crisp water going down my throat and I chugged the bottle in desperation. "There, now let's begin on your wounds. Master didn't go easy on you, I can tell.."

He dabbed at my cuts and small wounds with pieces of wool dipped in potion of healing. "Where am I?" I croaked out weakly, and he glanced up at my eyes before quickly gazing back at the wound on my collar bone, dabbing here and there. "You are in my master's mansion." "Is that the man who I met in the cave?" "Correct, my patient. But I promise you, he will not harm you any further."

A small chunk of hope filled my chest, and I relaxed my shoulders slightly. "Who is he?"

He tossed the small clump of wet cotton stained red into a small tin that sat beside me. "Herobrine. My master, and your captor. As I'm assuming, your.. partner.. is Steven, otherwise known as Steve?" My face turned slightly red, and I shook my head. "Nonono- Steve's just my friend." I stammered, and he nodded. "Steven is my master's brother. My master despises him, and as he's been stammering, muttering and screaming for months now.." I stared at the doctor in anticipation. "He's fallen for you. Obsessed, even. And that is why you're here."

I felt my heart begin to race, and he noticed quickly. "Shh- my patient, please, I promise he will not harm you." I remained quiet, trying to calm myself down. "Ah- my manners. My name is Doctor Corvus. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am the Cleric of this mansion, and you will meet quite a few other employees here as well. I will introduce you later once you've rested enough and the Master returns home.. he would like to speak to you. And don't worry. I will be right outside your door if it makes you anymore comfortable. Although I promise, my patient, he won't hurt you. May I know your name? I believe I already know it, but just to make sure I can call you what you prefer.."

"My name is Y/N L/N." "Lovely to meet you. Your wounds are fixed for now. So please rest while the master returns. He will wake you once he arrives, and until then please yell for my assistance if you need anything at all. Goodbye for now, and rest, Y/N, please."
