Midnight blossoms
Crimson lilies swaying to the breeze
their ghastly beauty
a mix of ephemeral and sinister.
The cricket creaking in the silence
so melancholic
I felt in my bones -
the legendary chill of the death.
Countless times, the glint of steal
coming after my life.
In a world swarmed by fake people,
My smile became so blase
even death doesn't trust it one bit
to have mercy.
Yet I'm breathing, hanging on to the ray of sunshine that's my spirit
my savior in the darkest hour.
