love is a language you spoke into existence

there is a warmth that embodies itself in your retinas
there is fear no more
you speak to a piece inside of me and silence it
finally i can breathe
it feels as if love was a language in which i was illiterate
you slowly repeated the syllables to me
and i came to comprehend and speak it eloquently
though i do stumble
i look for my worth and it is a clear glass
what is there inside of me deserving of your steady love?
i am still searching and digging it out
placing it where i always remember
i love you with no remorse
i love you without bondage
i love you with no consequences
so here i stare through you and there is only light unfathomable
as a poem you wrote of me that spoke of sunlight
you too are made of everything that is pure and ethereal
the light in you bores a hole in me as you set your gaze
and speak of your love like the intricate language it is
it is only you and i that speak it
only you can crush the trepidation inside me
and erase a multitude of scars
the monster in the closet has vanished
as you speak
the nightmare of my intrusive fiction is rewrote
so i crawl away from my fetal position to be cradled by you
coated in patience
and smothered in all that is you.
