growth is an ever changing cycle
like the phases of the moon
some days we have a sliver, a crescent of hope
others we bask in our fullness
yes, not long ago, this sky was pitch black
no glowing ball, blind to my own stars
there was light in nothing
now, if i look closely, there is light in everything
in between the spaces of pitch black
i must say, these days, those spaces are finally growing smaller
and the light is growing stronger
finally,
