Misunderstanding - Part 2

Actually, this part was going to be the last part of this story, but a few people suggested that I stretch the story a bit, I hope I did justice to their suggestion. So, here is part 2.

Finally, let's begin ....

Nimrit kept telling herself that Shiv was just probably chilling with Heena, but she couldn't stop herself from picturing him with Naina. She knew how long it took him to get over Naina, so just the thought of them meeting and being together even for a friendly purpose gave her jitters. She couldn't handle the thought of them being together even as just friends. She couldn't lose her Shiva over such a silly misunderstanding. She knew that she was probably overthinking, but she couldn't stop her train of thought. She just couldn't help herself from picturing them in a romantic scenario. So, to distract herself she went to Sumbul's house.

Sumbul – Arre Nimrit, tum idhar aise achanak? Sab thik hai naa?!

Nimrit – Haa, sab thik hai. Bass tumse thoda baat karne kaa mann kiya. Disturb toh nahi kar rahi naa mai tumhe?

Sumbul – Bilkul disturb nahi kar rahi, bolo naa kyaa hua? Kahi Shiv se koi jhagda toh nahi hua?

Nimrit – Jhagda hone ke liye koi baat honi padti hai. Usne kal hardly mujhse koi baat ki aur aaj toh phone bhi nahi utha raha mera, she said angrily.

Sumbul – Arre busy hoga vo kaam me, isliye phone nahi uthaya hoga, tum aise hi tension le rahi ho. Jaise hi free hoga, vo khudse call kar dega tumhe.

Nimrit – Vo kis kaam me busy hai bahot acche se jaanti hu mai, isiliye toh gussa aa raha hai uska.

Sumbul – Aisa kyaa kar diya mere bhai ne?

Nimrit – Shiv mera phone nahi utha raha tha isliye maine Rohit ko call kiya tha, toh usne mujhe bataya ki Shiv uski pyaari Naina se milne gaya hai, she said sarcastically.

Sumbul – Mujhe nahi lagta vo Naina se milne gaya hoga. Aur gaya bhi hoga toh itni badi baat kyaa hai usme? Tum bhi toh Shantanu se milti ho, vaise hi vo Naina se milne gaya hoga. Toh usme problem kyaa hai?

Nimrit – Tum hamesha Shiv ki side hi kyuu leti ho, she asked frustratingly.

Sumbul – Mai uski side nahi le rahi, just jo sahi laga vo bata diya. Tum hi batao, ye aap aur Shantanu milte ho usse alag kaise hua?

Nimrit – Meri aur Shantanu ki baat alag hai. Hum sirf dost hai abhi. Shiv, jaise uski Naina ke naam kaa tattoo haat pe leke ghumta hai vaise mai Shantanu ke naam kaa tattoo leke nahi ghumti harr jagah.

Sumbul – You know naa that the tattoo doesn't mean anything to him anymore?

Nimrit – If she doesn't mean anything to him anymore, toh milne ko jaane ki jarurat hi kyaa thi use? Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki Shiv abhi bhi pyaar karta hai usse, she said on the verge of crying.

Sumbul – You're majorly overthinking about this. You know this isn't true.

Nimrit – Isn't it though? Kyaa Shiv kabhi bhi mujhse apne dil ki baat saamne se bolta hai? Vo mere upar naraz bhi hota hai, toh mujhe chodke puri duniya ko pata hota hai. Aaj bhi mere upar gussa hai, toh mujhse ek shabd ki bhi baat kiye bina gaya hai uski Naina ke paas. Vo harr kisise apne dil ki baat share karne ke liye comfortable feel karta hai, especially us Naina se. Itna hi pyaar tha toh reh leta uske saath hi, she said with extreme jealousy.

Sumbul – Hum sab jaante hai Shiv tumse kitna pyaar karta hai, vo tumhare liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai. Aur kyaa tumhe sacchi chalta vo abhi bhi Naina ke saath rehta toh, she asked teasingly.

Nimrit – Vo sirf mera hai. Uske paas bhi gaya koi, toh faad ke rakh dungi sabko, she said with extreme possessiveness.

Sumbul – Haa bhai, Shiv tumhara hi hai, itni kiski himmat ki tumhare hote hue koi uske paas jaaye, she said while laughing.

Nimrit – Accha, ye baat ko chod. Mai jaanti hu ki kal mai party me nahi aayi isliye Shiv gussa hai mere upar, tujhe kuch bola kyaa usne?

Sumbul told her about the conversation she and Shiv had the previous night about how he thought she might be embarrassed by him and so avoids being seen with him publicly.

Nimrit – Ye soch bhi kaise sakta hai aise?! Ye hi bol rahi thi mai tujhe, is ladke ke dimag me 100 chije chal rahi hoti hai, par mujhe khudse kabhi kuch nahi batata. Mujhe directly ye baat bolta, toh aisi misunderstanding kabhi hoti hi nahi. Mai toh bass humara relationship bahot naya hai aur baaki logonki nazar naa lage isliye avoid karti hu public me jaana, par ye ladka toh alag hi galat fehmi karke baitha hai.

As she was speaking, she received a call from her Shiva. She forgot everything and picked up the call.

Nimrit – Finally aagayi tumhe meri yaad? ...... Bolo bhi ab kuch, mujhe kuch thikse sunayi nahi de raha Shiva.

She could just hear Shiv's faint laughter. But then she heard a woman in the background. Nimrit just snapped and cut the call, which was probably butt-dialed and Shiv was probably totally unaware of it. She was both extremely angry and jealous at the same time.

Nimrit – Is Shiv ko toh ab mai dekhti hu, she said with her flaring nostrils. Bahot shouk hai naa Naina se milne kaa, ab toh iske saare misunderstandings durr karungi mai thikse. I have to go and talk to him right now. Byee Sumbul, I'll talk to you later.

Nimrit immediately flew off to Goa and actually reached the resort where Shiv was going to stay before him. She waited for him to arrive in his suite while walking restlessly throughout the room. As soon as he entered the room, she just caught the collar of his shirt and pushed him angrily with all her force against the wall.

Nimrit – Kyaa samajhte ho tum apne aap ko? Mera ek phone nahi utha rahe ho, naa meri koi baat sunn rahe ho, aur ye sirf ek misunderstanding ki vaje se tum aise kaise behave kar sakte ho?

Shiv – Kyaa kiya hai maine aisa, he asked with a confused face.

Nimrit – Ab bhole mat bano, Rohit ne mujhe sab bataya hai, ki tum kaise Naina se milne gaye the. Kyaa tum abhi bhi pyaar karte ho usse?
