Seeing you again after all these years, The memories come flooding, the joys and fears, I thought I'd moved on, left the past behind, But seeing you now, I can't deny what's inside.
The love we shared, so young and bright, Now echoes of the past, fading in the night, But still, my heart aches, yearning for more, For the love we once had, like never before.
Yet, I'm not sure I'm ready to face it all, The memories, the pain, the rise and fall, But in your eyes, I see the love we shared, The moments that we both truly cared.
And so, I take a step, closer to you, Hoping that what we had is still true, But as the memories resurface, the pain returns, The love we had, now a flame that burns.
For in your eyes, I see the past, A love that we thought would forever last, But time has passed, and we've both moved on, And though my heart aches, the pain is gone.
