A vacation fling, just what I thought I needed, A chance to let loose, to forget the heart that's pleaded, For a love so true, a love so real, But the pain of heartbreak, it's so hard to heal.

I met him on the beach, a stranger in the sand, His smile so warm, and his touch so grand, Our love, a wildfire, burning bright and true, A flame so strong, that my heart never knew.

But now I'm back to reality, my heart so torn, Wondering if it's worth it, to pursue what was born, In the midst of the sun, the waves, and the sand, Or if I should let go, and leave it unplanned.

My heart's in a confession, a love so true, But the fear of heartbreak, so hard to pursue, Should I follow my heart, and chase what I desire, Or leave it behind, and let my heart retire?

I close my eyes, and take a deep breath, Remembering the love, that I thought was left, Behind in the sand, in the memory of my mind, A love so pure, that I thought I'd never find.

And so, with courage, I take the leap, A chance at love, that I thought I couldn't keep, For in the end, it's love that's worth the pain, A chance at happiness, and the love that remains.
