-A month later-

"Aisha, come down." Aisha's mother yell calling her daughter. Her heart is beating fast, she doesn't know how she is going to break the news to her daughter.

Aisha slowly gets down the stairs making her to the living room, both her parents waiting with anxious look in their face.

"What's wrong?" Aisha grumbles, she was getting ready  to go see Azrail.

"Honey, there's something we need to tell you before  you leave."

"Is everything okay?" Aisha asks, getting suspicious with her parents behavior.

What has happened to Azrail?

"It's about Antoine," Her mom says, guiding her daughter to her sit. Aisha take a in a deep breath, with all the things that's been happening in the past few months, Ainton was the last person in her mind.

"What about him?"

"He's been arrested honey," She says her eyes brimming with tears. Aisha stays quiet, waiting for her mom to finish. "He was abusing Rosalie's cousin, a neighbor called and police caught him in the middle of the act."

Aisha nods, not knowing what to say. A sense of relief flows through her for a brief moment, she was more concern on going to see Azrail than having this conversation.

"That's good, I'm going to see Azrail now." She says getting up only to be stopped by her father.

"There's more," He spoke. "The family asked if you could testify against him in court."

"I'm good,"

"Aisha!" Her mom shots surprised at her answer.

"I don't want my dirty laundry to be aired out once again, past is in the past, there's enough evidence for him to go to jail, I want out of it." Aisha says gathering her stuff and making her way out again.

"Let's talk about this first young lady," Her dad says stopping her again. Aisha shuts her eyes in irritation, all she wanted to do is see Azrail.

"There's nothing to talk about, I want to go see Azrail."

"Goddamn Aisha, can you stop focusing on a boy for one moment in your life and focus on the what's current, he isn't going anywhere, and you have a chance to bring justice to your abuser." Her father yelled, shocking bother her and her mother.

That shock sooned turned into anger as Aisha gets up and face her father.

"That boy, is the love of my life. That boy, has been there for me more than I could ever say about you. That boy, has shown me true love and affection. Not the kind you try to show me with materials and trips that get caught short because of some damn work meeting."

"Aisha, language."

Ignoring her mother she continues. "You're no better than him. All of my life, you guys have only cared about each other. I was always an afterthought. If my our lives were in danger, you would've saved each other before thinking about me.  I craved for the love you guys shared, and if you were better parents, I would have never been as fucked up as I am now."

Aisha gives both her parents one last glance before making her way out. "Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to see the person, who is in a fucking hospital bed because he took bullets for me. Something you guys would've never done."

-Aisha's P.O.V-

"You've been awfully silent." Azrail's mom says coming into the room.
