Nikocado and Toru had been dating for several months, and their love for each other continued to grow stronger every day. They had just returned from a romantic trip together when Nikocado received a call that would change everything.

It was from his ex-boyfriend, who he had not spoken to in years. He hesitated for a moment before answering, unsure of what he wanted to say. But when he did, he was met with unexpected news.

"Nikocado, I have some news that I think you need to know. I recently got tested for HIV, and I came back positive," his ex-boyfriend said, his voice trembling.

Nikocado felt his heart sink. He had never been tested for HIV, and the thought of possibly having contracted the virus was overwhelming. He thanked his ex-boyfriend for telling him and hung up the phone, feeling numb and scared.

He knew he needed to tell Toru, but he didn't know how to bring it up. He didn't want to burden him with his own problems, but he knew he couldn't keep it a secret.

"I-I have something to tell you too," Toru stuttered, his face turning red.

"I've been offered a job in America," Toru finally said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Nikocado felt his heart drop. He knew how much Toru loved his home country and how hard it would be for him to leave everything behind. He also knew that he couldn't bear the thought of being separated from Toru, even for a short period of time.
