Once the everyone reached the lacrosse field, Jackson came up to Charlie. "You don't need to wish me luck because it is already on my side." Jackson sneered with a smirk on his face.

"Just as long as you think that Jackass." Charlie says, using his old nickname for a change.

"Come on! Everyone on this team but me sucks!" Jackson gloated once more.

Charlie thought about that for a moment before continuing, "If your so good then you will have twenty dollars." She automatically said before covering her mouth. She was mentally face palming herself. No one was better than Jackson. "If someone is better than you, I get twenty. If you come out on top again then you get twenty." I finish through.

"I'll take that little sis." Jackson said ruffling her hair before heading out onto the field.

"I'm younger by a few months!" Charlie shouted after him which got a few raised eyebrows.

After that Charlie walked over to where Lydia and Allison sat. I could automatically find where Scott was. He was the odd one standing in goal. Allison followed my eyes once more then got the courage to ask. "Who's that? The guy in goal?"

Before she got the chance to respond, Lydia cut in, "I don't know what he is." What surprised her was when he turned his head toward her direction like he heard. Once again their eyes caught and I Charlie decided to give a better answer than Lydia.

"His name is Scott McCall." She said to Allison. She swore she saw his head turn to her and smile. Charlie decided to return it when she saw the adorable puppy eyes.

Once the whistle Charlie looked back at Jackson, who was giving her the classic smirk. Oh she definitely did not want to five up her twenty. Jackson's smirk got wider when he saw her slowly sinking into the bleachers.

She glanced back at Scott when the field were in fits of laughter. Well she didn't need someone to tell her the story when she saw him on the ground with a ball beside him. He saw Charlie look at him and felt a pulse of energy flow through him. The feeling was strange and foreign but he didn't care. All he could focus on was her face smiling at him, giving him reassurance.

The next person stepped up to challenge him. With ease, the ball left the players net and was sailing toward the goal. With his new-found energy Scott caught the ball easily. Every person looked at him with surprise but Charlie, who was clapping. Ball after ball flew at him, and time after time it was caught.

Suddenly, Jackson came out of his spot and to the front of the line. He was not going to lose his twenty dollars because of some loser. Everyone watched in what felt like in slow motion as Jackson gracefully ran and gave us a leap filled with technique. The ball left his net and sailed toward the goal like a bullet. Scott did the impossible and turned his body so the ball was easily caught in the net.

After that everyone went wild. Charlie and Lydia went against their once-favorite-player and stood up and cheered. The cheers reached Jackson's ears as he turned around to face them with a glare on his face.Lydia shrugged it off while Charlie put her hand up and rubbed her fingers together, showing him that he owed her some money.

Once practice was over Jackson got out the paper that Charlie was waiting for. "Don't look so surprised," Jackson said with his well-known scowl on his face when something doesn't go his way, "he is probably on steroids or something."

"He doesn't seem like the person to be messing with drugs." Charlie defended. "But now that you have a competition I can recommend some to you." She said with a grin starting to form on her face as Jackson rolled his eyes. "Okay I was kidding! He probably practiced a lot more than you did." Charlie finally let out her opinion.

"I was practicing all the time this summer!" Jackson yells as he got into his car.

"Maybe he was practicing while you were getting close to your girlfriend." She suggested as she closed the door on her side.

"Even if he did, I don't think he would've caught my ball." Jackson says as she sees him thinking hard.

"If only you could think like this during school," Charlie said with a sigh. "maybe you could take the same classes as me." Jackson gave her one last cold stare before driving off.

——

Once Charlie got to her room she immediately closed her door and locked it. She let out a long held giggle when she thought about all of the things that happened that day. She might be in love...and she didn't want it to end.

She could only think of his face and if he only liked her back. The thing that she didn't know was he really did...and for a lot longer than she realized. As she was thinking of his smile, he was thinking of her face.

OMG they both have feelings for each other now! You can see that there is going to be no Scallison D: but there is going to be Scharlie! (please give me a new ship name) Is this going too fast? Thank You!!!!!!!
