You were sat at your new desk after you take on your job as replacement from Robin as a detective

You feel a presence behind you which makes you turn in your swivel chair

Your eyes meet with an extremely tall, blonde, most gorgeous police office

Miranda- Hello you must be Detective Y/n

Y/n- I am and you are...

Miranda- Miranda, Miranda Hilmarson or just Constable, whichever your prefer

You pull out your hand for a handshake

Miranda- Don't be silly come here

She opens up her arms for a hug which you accept with no hesitation

You stay in this position for a hot minute before you pull back

You sit down and stays behind you untill Adrian walks in with papers in his hands

She slams them onto your desk making you jump

Adrian- New case, need you and Miranda to deal with NOW!!!

Y/n- Yes, sir

Your heart is still thumping in your chest as you flick through the papers

Miranda takes the papers out of your hands and grabs a chair looking at them herself

Miranda- A small girl, 9, she's been missing for about a week now her family is panicked and worried and have called over 7 times

Y/n- Ahh right ok we can get straight onto this tommorow

Miranda stands up and pushes some of your hair behind your right ear

Miranda- You alright dear?

Y/n- Yeah just nervous it's my first day and you know I just want everything to be perfect

Miranda- I see it's going to be okay I promise

You both end your shift and she offers you back to her apartment for the night so she can attempt to calm you down ready for tomorrow

She leads you inside locking the door and you both sit on the sofa as your leg bobs up and down

Miranda places her hand on your thigh stroking it while wrapping her other arm around your waist

Miranda- I promise you everything will be fine I will be with you the whole time I swear

Y/n- You nod as tears falk down your cheeks

She wipes your tears with her thumbs and kisses the top of your head

Y/n- Can we just go to sleep

Miranda- Of course

She takes you to her room and snuggles in with you

Miranda- I'm sorry that it's only a single bed I don't normally share this with anyone else so you know

Y/n- Don't worry I like a tight squeeze as long as I'm with you

She laughs before wrapping her arms around you

Miranda- I think we are going to get on VERY well my love
