Tobias rode his motorcycle into the Corner Store Gas Station and pulled up to pump number five. A yawn escaped his lips as he filled his motorcycle up with fuel. Tobias let his gaze wander across the street, where people were emerging out of church after Sunday service. He watched as they laughed together and spoke about their plans for the rest of the day. The sight made Tobias shudder with irritation, for those people did not like people like himself. He was brought out of his daze when he heard his phone ringing in his jacket pocket.

"What do you want Matthew?" Tobias asked with annoyance laced in his voice.

"No hello? Is that any way to treat your best friend since kindergarten?"

"Fine. Hello Dip Shit. Why are you bothering me?" Tobias let out a slight chuckle. "Was that better?"

"Much better. I am touched that you view me as one of your dip shit's Tobias."

"Okay Matthew, enough of your games. What do you want?"

Tobias lifted the gasoline pump out of his motorcycles fuel filler and placed it back on the rack.

"Well, I have to tell you something you may not want to hear. But you have to promise me that you won't freak out," Matthew explained.

Tobias rolled his eyes. "Just spit it out Matthew, I truly do not have time for your incompetence right now."

"RandyfoundoutaboutthefightonSaturday."

Tobias picked Matthew's jumbled sentence apart. Once he fully understood what he had said, a feeling of anger began to boil inside of him.

"Matthew. Tell me I did not just hear you say that Randy found out about the fight on Saturday. Because if I heard you correctly, somebody is going to get their ass beat. You better hope it is not you."

Matthew let out a nervous laugh. "Would it help if I reminded you that you just gave me the honor of being one of your dip shit's a few moments ago?"

Tobias took a deep breath. "How did he find out Matthew? Did you tell someone you were not supposed to? You know damn well the reason why I didn't want Randy finding out about the fight. He does not think I am in a good position to be fighting Lucas."

"I know that. I just thought if Randy saw you fight Lucas and win that he would stop doubting your capabilities," Matthew confessed.

Tobias paced back and forth. He was grateful for his friendship with Matthew. They had known each other since they were young kids. In fact, if it was not for Matthew, Tobias knew he would have not survived after being kicked out of the Foster Care system.

"I am sorry Tobias. I just know you have felt underestimated all of your life. I was only trying to help you out."

Tobias allowed his gaze to return to the church across the street. His eyes locked on to a girl with long hair that was auburn. She wore a mid-length dress and was holding a Bible to her chest.

"Tobias, are you there," Matthew asked.

Tobias brought his attention back to his friend on the other end of the line. "Sorry." He got on to his motorcycle and started the engine. "I am going to let this slide Matthew. But you better help me prepare for this fight. Because if I lose, Randy won't trust me as one of his top fighters anymore. Then I for sure will kick your ass. Understood?"

Matthew sighed in relief. "Don't worry brother, I am going to make sure you are ready for that fight. When you are finished with Lucas, he will want to retire due to embarrassment once you end his career."

"You better hope that you are right about that."

Tobias ended the call and put his motorcycle helmet back on his head. Another yawn escaped his lips. He was about to head back out on to the main road when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. Tobias took out his phone and saw a text from Matthew.

"Maybe you should get some coffee. You can't train to compete for this fight while having no energy- Your top dip shit."

Tobias let out a laugh, but knew his friend was on to something. He put his phone back into his jacket pocket and made his way over to The Coffee House.
