To some, she might seem extreme—very extreme—because there is no line she won't cross to gain, keep, or maintain control. That includes suicide attempts before she ever submits to anyone or allows her power to be stripped from her. She would rather die than betray who she is. Some might call that wild. Others might call it insanity. But in truth, it's a manifestation of her Dark Triad traits—Machiavellian, narcissistic, and deeply unyielding.

Her humor is as dark as she is. Sarcastic, cutting, and not for the weak-hearted. But don't mistake her for someone incapable of softness. She is human. She has moments of femininity, moments of warmth—but she is not weak. She is not naive. And she is not someone whose past is weaponized to make her fragile. If she has trauma (loosely speaking), it's lukewarm at best. It does not define her. It does not break her.

She is bold. She stands her ground. She has boundaries. She demands respect. And no matter the pressure, no matter the cost—she will not fold.

And she sure as hell isn't getting pregnant. ☕️

When I use the term Dominant, I'm not referring to the BDSM concept of "The Dominant" and "The Submissive." This isn't about collars, contracts, or submission kinks. I'm talking about a Dominant Personality. A dominant mindset. A dominant force. A dominant woman and a dominant man—both of whom exhibit their dominance in completely different ways. And as you read, you'll see exactly how those differences manifest.

Dominant people exude arrogance, superiority, and a sharp-edged confidence. They have aggressive, disagreeable, and manipulative traits—traits that align with the Dark Triad: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. However, in this case, psychopathy isn't exaggerated or heavily relied upon. This isn't a book about over-the-top sociopathy or unhinged lunacy masquerading as power.

And let me be clear—because I am tired of this trope—this isn't another book where the so-called Mafia King is just a Fifty Shades of Grey knockoff. This isn't some BDSM-heavy, trauma-fueled, extreme exaggerated psychopath who gets off on breaking women into submission. This isn't about a man using sexual taunts, unnecessary physical dominance: spanking, edging, chastity, or bondage just to prove how much "power" he has over a weak, naive woman who crumbles under his touch. (Rolls eyes). If that's the kind of book you want, that's fine. But this isn't that book.

Now, does this book contain explicit, vulgar, and intense sexual content? Absolutely. But the power dynamics are different. Any reference to submissive taunts comes with full consent—and considering both characters are dominant? Good luck with that.

Dominance isn't just a bedroom gimmick. It's a mindset, a force of nature that extends far beyond sex.

And let me warn you—the male protagonist in this book is a lot. He is heavy-handed in his dominance. He is not easy to handle. And DO NOT forget—he is a Black Mafia King. This is a Mafia book.

This book isn't just about love and smut—though trust me, there's plenty of both. It has substance. It has build-up. It has foundation. The characters—especially the male protagonist and the woman protagonist—are written true to who they are. That means conflict. That means clashing. That means two powerhouses constantly testing each other's limits.

And since this is a Mafia book, you can expect exactly what you should expect—danger, suspense, drama, love, violence, and chaos.

As I confirmed prior, this book does contains strong sexual content with intense and explicit language. And as the story deepens, so does the intensity. But if you're expecting characters to randomly jump each other's bones with no context, no buildup, no foundation—if you think they'll be having sex three months (or hell, three weeks) after crossing paths or staying under the same roof, then this book isn't for you.

The sexual content in this book will make sense. It will be earned. It will fit the dynamic of these two characters—two dominant forces who refuse to break for anyone.

I get that some people love excessive, non-stop sex in Mafia or Dominant Alpha books. And if that's your thing, go for it. But for me? It has to make sense.

Whew! Okay, I'm done. I just needed to clear the air before y'all start reading and projecting the Mafia books you've read onto this Mafia book.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Hope you enjoy the ride.
