Your dad lost his job. He found another one pretty quickly, but it was across the country. It wasn't the best year, but I know if you had the chance to do it over, you wouldn't. You don't have regrets. Not even when you threatened to beat a girl to a pulp with a tennis racket then chased her around the baseball field. That story just makes you laugh now. You gave me hope for the future I knew we could never have, but you held my hand and told me you liked me, even though you were leaving me.
