"Josh"....

She took a deep breath and slowly approached her best friend. "It's been a while," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Josh smiled, and the two embraced and in that moment, Normani knew that whatever had happened in the past was no longer important. They were together again, and that's all that mattered.

Normani and Joshua knew they had a lot to talk about, but not wanting to let go and just holding each other and being in the moment meant the world to them.

It took everything they had not to cry and break down because deep down they'd both been through so much and without the other there to catch them when they fell, who knew what happened other than themselves?

Eventually, they pulled away, and Josh looked at Normani, his eyes filled with emotion. "I missed you so much," he said, his voice breaking. "I'm sorry for everything."

Normani shook her head. "No, Josh, it's okay. We both made mistakes, and we both grew from them. What's important is that we're here now, together."

They spent the next few hours catching up, talking about their lives, their dreams, and their struggles. They laughed and reminisced about old times, and though there were moments of sadness and regret, they knew that they could get through anything as long as they had each other.

As the night wore on, they found themselves sitting outside, looking up at the stars. Normani took Josh's hand, and he squeezed it tightly. "I'm never letting go of you again," he said.

Normani smiled. "I know," she said. "I won't let go of you either." And together, they sat there, under the stars, knowing that no matter what life threw their way, they would always be there for each other.

Normani Pov

As I looked at the stars and reminisced on every little detail josh had told me, my heart is in pieces, but I am so happy that he is here with me now, not realizing how long I'd been in my thoughts, I hear josh clear his throat.

"So, there is this girl I would love for you to meet mani" he says with a huge smile.

I Iaugh lightly before saying "aww does my Joshy pooh have a girlfriend" and by the look on his face I could've sworn something flew up his nose.

"What no definitely not, I mean don't get me wrong she is so beautiful but she's gay like full-on scissoring gay" he says with a disgusted face, and I couldn't help but laugh at his expression, "Well, that's unfortunate for you," I say teasingly.

Josh rolls his eyes playfully, "Yeah, yeah, I know. But seriously, she's cool and I think you guys would get along great."

I nod, "I'd love to meet her sometime. When do you want to introduce us?"

"How about tomorrow or Sunday?" Josh suggests.

"Sure, that works for me," I reply, feeling a sense of excitement at the prospect of meeting someone that Josh thinks highly of.

As we continue to chat, I can't help but feel grateful for Josh's presence in my life. He has always been a constant source of support and love. And now, with the possibility of meeting someone new, I can't help but feel like there are good things to come. Since I don't have friends other than Ally and Lauren. Pulling me out of my thoughts again by clearing his throat, I look over with a confused face.

"It is late, and I have work in the morning" he says with a sad look on his face.

I feel my heart sink a bit, not wanting our conversation to end just yet. "Oh, right. I should probably let you go then," I say, trying my best to hide the disappointment in my voice.
