Red eyes scanned around the room before he moved. His human pillow was oddly missing. His hand lazily searched for his phone, he had slept like a rock, one of those deep sleeps you almost hated. It was almost nine, he yawned and opened his phone to see various messages from his classmates in the group chat. They were annoying, but, they were his other family. He told himself he'd stay in the group chat to keep an eye on them.

After getting dressed he made his way downstairs to see his father and Sunni in a card stacking contest. He leaned on the doorframe, wanting to see how this played out.

Masaru carefully placed another card, "Sunni, you know, when I win I won't say anything to Katsuki."

The read head giggled as she placed a card on top of his, "Judging by the trajectory this is going, that won't be necessary."

Mitsuki leaned forward and glared at the cards, "I just don't get how you are doing that."

Masaru smiled at his wife, placing a mother card, "Balance...and some math."

Sunni grinned, "What your husband means is dumb luck."

Mitsuki looked up and smirked at her son, "Finally someone to calls your fathers bluffs."

Masaru paused, planning his next move carefully, "Sunni, you may have bested me today..." He placed his card and the massive tower fell.

Her blue eyes sparkled as she smirked, "Your son says something similar when I beat his ass."

"Don't start your shit, it's too early," the blond scolded. She smiled at him as she picked up the cards, ignoring his half hearted glare.

"We have meetings until late tonight," Mitsuki stood, "If you all leave, lock up."

His eyes darted to the red head, "Go get ready. We gotta meet the other two losers soon." He watched her as she headed up the stairs.

"So where are you guys taking her today?" Masaru grabbed his coat.

"Some festival Pinky wanted to go to," he plopped down on the couch.

His mother grinned, "Oh double dates are fun."

Bakugo huffed, "Stop it."

She chuckled and ruffled his hair, going towards the door, "Take care of her today."

Not long after, Sunni came back down, "Oh no, did they already leave?" She wore a black knitted sweater and light jeans. "I wanted to tell them bye."

He tore his eyes from her and nodded, "They had a meeting to get to."

She frowned, "Boo."

He stood and walked up to her, "I forget how short you are."

"I'm not that short," she put her hands on her hips, "Don't start picking on me."

He reached up and touched the necklace on her person, "Where'd you get this?"

She smiled, "Your mom got it for me. She said it reminded her of me...." Her smile faltered, "I'm not familiar with the kanji though..."

He looked it over for a moment. The small letters on delicate gold plate. He could play this one of two ways...he smirked, "It means pain in the ass."

Her mouth fell open and she chuckled, "You asshole." She shoved him lightly.

He smiled, "I'm just the translator."

Sunni rolled her eyes, "Mhmm, don't quit your day job."

"Sunshine," he eyed her, "pain in the ass would be more accurate."
