Audrey Jones' POV

"Happy birthday to youuu." I held the sheet cake out with my right hand and blocked the flames from blowing out with my left.

"Remix." Pebbles cuffed her hands around her mouth and shouted.

"Hap-py Bir-thday to ya, ha-ppy Bir-thday to ya! Happy Birthdayyyyy." We sang and clapped in front of the twins as they shook their head.

Our kitchen was filled with several of our cousins and a few close friends as we celebrated, the twins, Elyse and Elijah's thirteen birthday. I couldn't believe the youngest bunch in the family are finally teenagers. It felt like they were just born and I had to deal with Elyse's wailing cries and Elijah's tantrums yesterday.

"Hurry up and blow out the candles before they start singing every birthday song in the book." I whisper as our cousins, Saniyah and Trae, start rapping birthday bitch.

Elyse and Elijah didn't hesitate as they blew all twenty-six single stem candles out—courtesy to my friend, Pebbles, who thought they would be better than number candles.

"Ayyye." Everyone clapped as I grab the ice cream and plates.

"What did you wish for?" I ask standing between the both of them wrapping my arms around their shoulders.

These two, despite to being twins, were complete opposite. Elyse is more timid and hate when attention is on her for too long and would rather have her headphones in and her sketch book in her face. While Elijah loves all the attention no matter if its good or bad, he's a people person and knows how to work a room.

"I can't tell you that." Elijah waved me off. "I need it to come true."

"And you ask us every year." Elyse rolls her eyes and shrugs my arm off her shoulder. "And every year I say the same thing – nothing."

"Yeah and I know you only tell me that so I won't bug you about it like I do Eli." I tease poking her side as she snickers. "Go ahead and cut the cake since I have to get to work soon."

"I thought you took off today?" Maleah says from next to Elyse as she passes both Elyse and Elijah cake cutters.

I shook my head but before I could say anything, Pebbles cut in as she slid next to Elijah and continues to pass slices of cake down the table.

"Yeah right. This bitch won't take off even if it's hailing outside."

"Exactly cause who else is gonna pay to feed them?" I ask pointing between the twins and Maleah.

Maleah just turned eighteen this year and although that makes her of age to help out–I wouldn't put that pressure on her. I wouldn't want either of my younger siblings to feel obligated to do anything other than chasing their dreams. I want them to go to college, find a passion and have a choice that I didn't get to have.

"I mean if you start teaching me how to drive I can help you get this money." Elijah smirks. I roll my eyes as Maleah and Elyse laughs.

"Boy can you at least get to High School first. Talking about learning how to drive puh-lease." I huff waving him off.

"Sis barely taught me to drive so good luck with that." Maleah shook her head. My jaw dropped.

"What? I did teach you, Maleah."

"No, Saniyah, Daddy and Trae did." Maleah retort, I knit my eyebrows together. "The one time you did you screamed at every little turn and was clutching the seatbelt."

Pebbles, Elijah and Elyse bust out laughing as I pursed my lips.

"I'm sure you were speeding."

"I remember that, Friend 'cause we were in the school parking lot." Pebbles chuckled. "I had stole some cones from a construction site that day."
